"Hello baby!" you can hear the smile through the speakers as the era of Van Hagar makes its first steps. The cover art is apt; carrying the weight of expectation on their backs, Van Halen follow up the departure of Roth and the smash success of 1984 with 5150. Not only do the band carry the weight well, they manage to throw it off and stand tall in their own right; long live the Hagar era!

Highly underrated. Sammy Hagar is definitely my favourite vocalist for Van Halen and this has so many great tunes. It never ceases to put a smile on my face.

Best VH album with Sammy on vocals, every song is great. Also the last awesome VH album. The following material is kinda boring, especially OU182 and Van Halen III.

Fun album and I prefer Sammy's vocals. However, it's filled with 80's pop / glam rock ingredients but who's to blame them when the metal gods made "Turbo" which is in my opinion better and Iron Maiden did "Somewhere In Time" which is also definitely better than "5150".
