I cannot believe that one of the all-time essentials of fast-paced, ass-kicking thrash is yet to be given the justice it deserves and have a review on Metal Storm. The pinkish cover art features a fun-looking skull full of goofy hair, which is good at misleading mortals into thinking that this is another joke of wannabe soft thrash and ensures that only the chosen few experience its glory.

I agree. And how is this technical? I think the Sex Pistols were more technical than these guys. Crap album.

Even if it might not be particularly technical in terms of structure or chord sequence, you have admit that there are not many people that play guitar who can play chords in 32nd notes for the amount of time these songs last for. Also I don't think even Petrucci, Vai or Satriani can shred this fast, some of the solos are also neo-classical influenced.

First four tracks are really good. Unfortunately the second half brought down the score.

I think the comparison to make would be Endless Pain, Forbidden Evil, and Carnivore.

The thin production really takes away from the intensity and brutality of this awesome record. With added meat to the production and this could have comfortably displaced either Reign in Blood or Pleasure to Kill from the unholy trinity. Re-animator is one hell of a fun sing along.

You are not metal enough until you visit Kenya. The cradle of mankind, where man learnt first to work with stones and first enjoyed the sounds produced by banging stones which later influenced metal in all its sounds and genres.

Exactly my thoughts. I hated this first time I heard it but during my recent thrash binge I revisited this album and it's a lot better than I remembered it being.

Production does kind of suck donkey's balls, like Maasai Mara pointed out. Overall killer material, considering it's only 1 guitar, competes Manilla Road when they were playing thrash in both riffage and solos. All of the songs are not total masterpieces so I rate it to tier 2.

"First four tracks are really good. Unfortunately the second half brought down the score." what had Strawberry been smoking? RE-FUCKING-ANIMATOR !!!
