'Frühling' IS awesome, like the whole album. What a great idea, amazing compositions and perfect performance. Incredible masterpiece, wchich breaks barriers and redefines black metal as a genre. The most stunning thing is that they perfectly cought the deep atmosphere and emotions related to each season. Poetry.

Don't take it the wrong way, buddy, I meant no offense.
It's just that, IMO, Nargaroth is pretty much the embodiment of average, color-by-number black metal. I don't have a problem at all if you think as highly of them as you do.

BTW, I'm not really a fan of Slayer, not anymore at least.

Well, I just prefer discussion by arguments, not by lauging at others' opinions. So thx for your explanation

I must say, that at first I thought about Nargaroth just like you. And that was after hearing 'The day burzum killed mayhem'. But it's hard for me to understand, how one can hold that opinion after hearing few of their albums. Since I listened to 'Herbstleyd', it's clear for me how talented these guys are. And that stereotypical opinion, that it's another underground-noisy-repetitive-shitty-bm band is sooo unfair! They were able not only to continue and develop the great bm tradition from early 90', but also break the barriers of this tradition, by adding some pretty new elements, like happy melody in Fruchling, some sentimental tunes in Sommer, the great autumn-anthem, some non typical background sounds, generaly emotional and lyrical themes, and so on... Every sound in Jahreszeiten is deliberate and perfect.
Their last album showes their abilities as well, with it's progressiveness, diversity and poetry. Just listen to 'A whisper underneath the bark of old trees' - what a song, what a lyrics, with a philosophical massage.
And at this moment, thanks to such bands as Nargaroth we now that: 1.black metal is alive and feels great, 2. black metal has so much wider abilities then anybody (except Ash) could imagine ! , 3. black metal ist Krieg

How ironic that one of the most original black metal songs ever written was done by a completely standard black metal band
