Manni out and two new guitarists in to replace him. Not a bad trade. Both new guitarists does very well on this one, helping steering the influences towards thrash while still keeping the Rage speed/power roots. This album consists of little of this and that, some old songs reworked and some new written ones as well as two re-recordings. There's no dull moments here, even if the Avenger song Prayers of Steel has lame verses, but the three first songs are probably the best. It's a good pick up if you enjoy some thrashy Rage.

You even grabbed this one, hilarious.
I believe I still have my copy of this album somewhere. But here the last time spinning the album must really have been in the year 1994, because I dont recall many spins at all.
Yeah, indeed, the first three songs should be the best ones here, that much I do recall. The rest, I dont know any more.
But what about this Prayers of Steel version? Is it so bad?
I hold a copy of the 1985 Avenger album Prayers of Steel, which I enjoy quite a lot, in particular the title track.

Yeah I also have this cd somewhere lying around but thanks to spotify I don't have to try to find it among all the garbage in my closet. I recently saw that they are about to release a 2CD version of this one (as well as Black in Mind and End of All Days), but I didn't find the tracklist so I don't know what bonus tracks they have included.

Regarding Prayers of Steel, it's not THAT bad but I have always disliked the verses in that song and overall it's a pretty tedious song.

Overall this album was a nice suprise, it was better than I remembered
