The one thing that has always been central to Paradox's infectious style of thrash is melody. It's the kind of melody you can almost cut and spread with a knife and attention is always given to making it as tangible as possible throughout the band's studio efforts. Their releases during the heyday for the genre in the late 80's served up intense pockets of speed/thrash and while this remains the case with Tales Of The Weird their sound is now noticeably different.

I dunno about all you guys, I think Paradox is the pinaccle of thrash metal; they bring the melody into it which is not something that everyone can do proper. It's nothing jaw dropping about it but it pumps you up. The way they honored Rainbow with that cover, man - you can't get that level of quality ever from the big names in thrash.

Improvement IMO, more good songs here, though I'm not still highly impressed by the album. Like after the 5th song what is good here? Pretty much NOTHING, except that #8 instrumental, I say.
