Well composed guitar riffs, great harmonized solos, not complex but relatable drums. Great and underrated record.

Yes, indeed. This is great old-school MDM. It reminds me of Unanimated's Ancient God of Evil at times, but also other influences, such as early Dark Tranquillity, are surely undeniable.

Edit:
Overlooked gem. Come in my list of all-time favourites, dear album, I am gonna open the door for you now and kick free a decent spot, you deserve it.

I just thought it was about time to tell a fellow countryman and loyal forum user that he is totally right, thus I ended up here.
Bought this second hand two weeks ago and it's still spinning in my car's stereo. Most probably their best album and this is kind of sad, because I think the decline in quality of Night In Gales parallels the development of the genre melodeath in general...

I made the mistake of listening to the earache-inducing Necrodynamic right after Thunderbeasts and The Last Sunsets (both good albums), and wrote this band off completely. Nice to see/hear that their debut can somewhat appease that major fuckup of their discography.

Hey, great that you finally came to reply to my post here. I was actually somehow waiting for this to happen. Accidently I came across their disco again only yesterday and also stumbled over your other posts on their later albums. Towards the twilight really is their only good album I think. No idea what happened thereafter. But this one is sooo great. I enjoy it more and more over time.
