An important characteristic of any Neurosis influenced band seems to be the abysmal contrast between aggressiveness and smooth atmosphere. Somehow it is quite a challenge to find this degree of opposite musical natures in such balance outside the Sludge jurisdiction. This band is really starting to grow on me. I'm not quite as into this as much as Somewhere Along The Highway but it's still a great post-metal record. The instrumentation is so captivating, and the way that some of these tracks build-up is breathtaking.
