Woah. The intros drag this a bit down, but not enough for a whole point. The songs themselves more than make up for it.

Sigh, don't people do any research? All the songs on this album were written between 1982 and 1986 and already released on their demos back then. What you get here is recorded versions of those old songs.

In terms of songwriting, i wasn't overly impressed to give it a perfect 10, but the lyrics here are brilliant, and david bower gives off an evil enough impression doing the vocals! Its a 9 from me:)
really? Cuz it says you give it a 10

This albums damn good. I know these songs were all written in the 80s, but I hope that if Hell continues making albums they can still write songs this good. Metal album of the year for me so far.

This is one of the best new bands (new to me) I have heard in a long, long time. This is the album I have been waiting for since Mercyful Fate did "9" almost 12 years ago. Where is this type of blackened heavy metal nowadays? I'm tired of everything new being death metal, or geeky fucking power metal that seems to get weaker with every release.
I really hope Hell is around for a long time making albums, this is some prime shit right here. I also wish Mercyful Fate would get back together, but I can't see that happening anytime soon.

More to the point, shortly after the record label collapsed the original singer killed himself. The guy you hear today is actually the brother of the guitarist and was only bought in last minute (originally Martin Walkyier was going to sing on the re-recorded album)

If they had launched this album in the 80s, it would be a classic heavy-metal release. Really amazing, even nowadays. This kind of Occultism was really suppressed in that decade as I can see. Songs from the 80s released until now. Fortunately, they finally did it.

This album has really blown me away. The atitude is right, the riffs are magnificent, the vocals are absolutely epic and completely batshit insane (it really helps that this guy is a theatre actor), and of course Andy Sneap's production really ties all the effects and interludes together with the absurdly epic and complex NWOBHM.

After hearing this it is easy to see where Sabbat got their inspiration from. A nice Heavy Metal album although im not a massive fan of this style. Had this album been released in the 80's I think this band probably would have been quite well known.

Holy crap, just ...wow. I almost made the decision of not getting this album and boy would have that been a mistake. Best album I've heard in a few months. Awesome riffs, excellent production, amazing lyrics and one of the best sinister vocal performances I've heard. It's really a shame this got released after the metal golden years, as these guys would definitively be up there with Priest and Maiden.

I think my favorite thing about this album is how it manages to make old cliches work superbly. The "Welcome to hell" at the end of Let Battle Commence, the ring-a-ring-a-rosie bit at the end of Plague and Fyre and the bring out your dead at the beginning of it, the news samples on Save Us..., the organ on On Earth As It Is As Hell, it just goes on. The lyrics and the deliverence are just stunning, as well as the instrumentals and production.
I think this may as well be my favorite metal album ever.

The album is just as good as the classics of the genre. The vocalist is totally talented and the instruments are superb. Everything here is excellent!!

I dunno, feels like this was released too late. Production doesn't fit too well to the songs, maybe in 80s it would be better.

I actually miss having seen this band live. I saw them a couple of times at Hammerfest, once at Bloodstock, and every time they put on a brilliant performance. I mean yeah, it helps that the frontman has years of experience in the drama department (several costume changes and so much versatility in the guy's voice means you won't ever want to look away), but musically Hell are no slouch either. Human Remains is an album let down only for those cheesy, slightly unnecessary intros (mainly talking about "Blasphemy and the Master" and "The Devil's Deadly Weapon"), but then it's more than made up for by musical precision and on-form delivery. My favourite songs are naturally two of the shortest on the album-"Let Battle Commence" and "Save Us...".

I'm not quite sure whether your question is meant seriously, for all I see is the classic band logo, unchanged since at least 1983, with the "HELL" lettering and a trident/pitchfork.
