You really can get away with a lot in the realm of metal. The sheer number of different themes central to various bands and genres is part of what keeps metal interesting for me. Whether it's a depressing retelling of nautical literature at the hands of Ahab or a tale of dragon-slaying told by Rhapsody Of Fire, there will always be a huge variety of sounds to be heard and stories to be told throughout the metal universe.

I have too many albums in need of listening to and... well, not not enough time, but not enough... I dunno. Enthusiasm or something.

Commenting to remind myself to actually listen to this instead of reading comments about it and watching crap on Youtube instead.

I thought you had already listened to it. I think you said so in a news thread related to the band. I might be mistaken and you might have been talking about the debut, in any case, this one needs to be listened to. It's better than the debut.

I think I listened to a song and asked if the band was worth listening to and for a comparison. People mentioned the big names in blackened sludge and said it's along those lines which interests me but ya... I've been lazy with listening to new albums.

After giving this a full listen I have come to the conclusion that this sounds like Carcass on roids.
