Kataklysm is surely one of the constants in death metal: releasing an album every few years, maintaining their line-up for almost two decades and only changing on the drums, and being a guarantee for some quality music. With their latest release, Waiting For The End To Come, they let some dynamics return to the otherwise so heavy style, and that was pretty refreshing overall. Hoping for a stronger album. The last release had some solid tracks but mostly it was too easygoing for me

I'm in the minority here I guess, but this album just sucks. I would probably have thought: so groovy, so angry, so awesome! if this was my first melodic death metal album. Alas it is not, as it is probably my 1000th, or something. Just feel like skipping to the next track after 1 min of each song... Don't get me wrong, they're talented and the production is nice. Buuut, so fooking bland.

A few good tracks here and there but nothing that has equaled what they have done and accomplished in the past. Their last album came out late 2013 and now barely a year later they just rubbed this one out. Just boring, uninspiring and it felt like Maurizio talked his way through most of the album. Weak vocals, weak guitars and if there is anything to take from this album would have to be the drum work (Kudos). I think I'm done with Kataklysm for the moment

Try to mention albums like Prophecy, Shadows and Dust & Temple of Knowledge and they wouldn't know what you're talking about. Its misguided and not well deserved.
