Come on AL. Stop being such a whiney baby about everything. This guy writes awesome music, but the lyrics are just so whiney and pathetic at this point. I'm growing tired of the fake news watching SJW metal/industrial albums out there. Grow a pair, AL. It's so sad to see some of these icons just get older and become the biggest babies about pop issues. It's not even empowering, just whiney. Oh well. I mean, AL should just press record and start crying and call it an album. Just look at the album art. Looks like a 3 year old made it.

Yikes, this is one terrible album. It feels more like an industrial remix album of an original Ministry record than an actual album. There is practically no songwriting: Al yells some incoherent words and that is followed up by minutes of badly mixed industrial sounds, audio samples and watered down guitars. Almost all songs are like this, it really feels like Al didn't even try and just cobbled together something quick because Trump is in the white house and people expect a wicked Ministry album as result.

Interesting that people are so negative towards this album. I thought it was very well done! I loved how he made the samples into music. And I usually dislike ministry, but this was pretty cool to listen to. Although I'm no Trump supporter, I don't really care for the lyrics (I rarely do), but it seems like a legit topic for a metal album if you're interested in politics, which Al seems to be?

Written by Kuroboshi on 19.03.2018 at 22:50 It is not well done at all, but it is not the worst Ministry album. There are 3 albums before this one in the Ministry catalog, all of them from the 80s. Much of the anti-Ministry hype (and Machine Head too) has to do with the message. People started to become wary of primitive whiny left-wing speeches, particularly in metal music. While in the 2000s, metal kids would give you a bonus for writing anti-Bush lyrics, nowadays metal kids get triggered when you see a middle aged man going all SJW (Robb, you have the word!). The album is boring, musically speaking. Lyrically speaking, Al is doing the same thing he has been doing for a few decades already. It's just that times changed, the audience changed, Al did not change. In the 2000s, it was ok to bash Bush as most of the metal audience was liberal (in the Marxist way of thinking), while today, most metal kids could witness the emergence of SJWs, Antifa, BLM and all the other left leaning movements with their own mocking terminologies or ways to censor your freedom of speech if you don't agree with them, that infests the world of politics and affects even our social lives. We today know better how the left-wingers react, and who they really are than how kids in 2000s knew. If this album had been released in 2007, rather than 2018, it would've had about the same reaction as The Last Sucker (which for the most part sucked too). The music lacks inspiration, it lacks heavyness, except for 1 track (even when Ministry was more experimental or formulaic, they always played a form of extreme music, not this soft-ass music) and Al has been on a downward spiral ever since Houses of the Mole. Every album made after that one was weaker than the previous one, with the previous 3 being right the in the middle (1 kickass track, 2-3 good ones). This one barely has 1 good track (Twilight Zone).

Written by TheMAGAmvm on 06.04.2018 at 17:14 As I said, I don't really care for the lyrics and the theme. But judging from your reaction, it seems like you just plainly didn't like the music on the album, whereas I liked it. And that's all just about subjective feeling, right? You say "the album is boring, musically speaking". I didn't think so. That's that.

Written by VforIAmAVagina on 06.04.2018 at 18:58 I think you didn't get my point. I explained the reason why the album is so bashed. This is not a horrible album, it is just boring/mediocre. And not the worst Ministry album either. The main reason why it gets this hate is due to its message. I can stand some moderate left-wing positions, I can sympathize with some left-wing ideas, but the way the left is now in the west, it is cancerous. Even our hardline commies back in the 80s were not as radical and idiotic as the modern left is today.

09.04.2018 - 09:44 Written by TheMAGAmvm on 06.04.2018 at 21:58 I do agree with your comment about this horrible album but still I don't agree with your ideas about left ideas even in west but since I don't live there, I believe you may judge better than what I can only guess. However, I think it is irrelevant if discuss with you here more. Maybe boring for others. Generally, I consider some metal bands like Rammstein, Rage Against the Machines, Megadeth, Solstafir - just as an example - as kind of left. Maybe my definition for left movement is not similar with those taboos we already may know but I have some reasoning for that. Anyway, thanks for your reply

Written by VforIAmAVagina on 06.04.2018 at 18:58 Why do right-wing supporters have to 'tolerate' left-wing parties? Left-wing parties don't tolerate right-wing parties either. Left-wing activists are becoming the next wave of fascists with their intolerance against everyone who does not agree with them. Left-wing fascists even promote violence against against right-wing voters. There are loads of video's on youtube with aggressive antifa fascists groups attacking police and/or anti-refugee protestors from countries worldwide. And then they call right-wing supporters shallow-minded.

I think you've made your point on the discussion incredibly clear by now to the extent that you've devolved into hurling insults rather than promote conversation. You might need to take a step back from this thread and leave it be.

"Wargasm" sounds like a really bad Killing Joke imitation, which begs the question of why anyone would want to listen to a bad Killing Joke impression when the real Killing Joke are still putting out albums much better than this.
