Such genre as classic rock dont exist. Its bands from 60 70 bands what plaid some rock music from Eagles, lynyrd skynyrd, Zeppelin, jimi, cream even Sabbath first 2 albums

It's free-form jazz

It is heavy metal, with some slight doom touches at times. ALso some Metallica Ride The Lightning era thrash in it. As for heavy metal, just listen to Angel & Abyss. That guitar has Randy Rhoads written all over it. Pure Ozzy first two solo albums tribute that song.

I agree with Marcel on everything (even the Ride the Lightning part - ffs it's true). In fact "Hear Her" has a riff taken from "Harvester Of Sorrow", so the influence doesn't stop in Ride The Lightning.

And the Ozzy worship is there too (music and vocals). The vocals -without being bad- just don't really stand out for me. But as Maco said, there are riffs for days here and that's why I love this; because if you don't listen to metal for the riffs what the fuck are you listening to metal for?

Very interesting band

Really fun album to listen to but when something sounds so derivative then I generally mark it down as it has been done before and lacks originality.

They traded being one of the better doom bands of our time, for being a fairly standard heavy metal one. Shame shame.

You're welcome. I enjoy the previous two records as well (although I prefer Khemmis for this kind of doom), but this is so memorable and catchy and easy to like. If it were more original I'd give it a 9 but tbh I am enjoying the hell out it. A review is on the works as well

It is heavy metal/thrash metal/doom metal rip offs from some classic bands. No originality at all.

I really like this album. To me it is mix between doom and heavy metal and rock. Not sure about the originality though. But I don't mind that. I just like it. Some riffs are almost like Mastodon (Angel And Abyss, my favourite song of the album) and there is hints of bands like Candlemass, Ghost (even the album art reminds me of Ghost), Grand Magus etc.

This was one I didn't care for at first (I guess I wasn't in the mood for this style of metal at the time) but it's a really enjoyable record that wears it's influences on it's sleeve. I agree with the previous comparisons with Metallica and (especially) Ozzy.

Good heavy metal with a tinge of doom. Great music to listen to.

Amazing Album!

This has so many influences like all the ones mentioned in previous comments, but it's such a well made album with great melodies and songwriting. It's a great album indeed but "Angel And Abyss" is a stand-out for me
