One more disappointment after the previous bad album. I can't believe BG's songwriting has become that bad. I am laughing when people even dare to compare it with the legendary "A Night in the Opera". " The Great Ordeal" and "Point Of No Return" were two notable moments in this album but everything else was uninspired. Well, patience my friends and maybe a day Blind Guardian's melodies may return. Or maybe not, especially if people continue to hype bad efforts....

Nope. The music is so boring it is impossible to mate to.

I do admire that thy are trying to make an inovative album, but it ends up being super boring. If it where a few songs orchestral amon "real BG" songs surely the album would be much better.
this album would be great for restless nights, as you quite surely will fall asleep...


I love this band since lucifers heritage, but i stopped at night at the opera, which is the last good album for me.
i simply can't get into the new albums.

I think you lot are confused on what this album was supposed to be. They were talking about making an orchestral album for nearly two decades. They finally release it and it gets downvoted because virgin death metalers think it is "too boring". Like duh, it's an orchestral album, not a Blind Guardian album. All they did was put Blind Guardian in the title because that's how they're going to sell it.

I gave it a 5 and I am neither a virgin nor a big death metal fan. I also love classical music. This album is boring to my ears regardless.

What do you mean "duh"? Orchestral music can be awesome, whether it is the so-called Jupiter symphony or some Nobuo Uematsu tracks orchestrated. The criticism that this sounds like BG minus the metal elements is a valid one, because that is what it is and it is indeed boring. This isn't a good orchestral work in terms of songwriting, simple as that.

Just a good album, not a special album!!
It's more like a Hansi Kürsch's solo album instead of BG...

Everything on this album could be better, esp. songwriting, mixing and production!

Special it is. many years in making, needs to be listened to as a whole. its good. give it a chance and it will not disappoint but needs to be listened to as whole - but does seem as only for die hard fans:) hell yeah!!!!!!!! i don't get how it can be said it's boring though - its not and if you say it is then you have changed your ears with a bleeding donkey!

All the soaring vocals and the raising crescendos doesn't stop this mammoth album from being a boring snoozefest. A few interesting listens here and there but mostly an album with uninspiring melodies and cliched storytelling.

This album is much better than a "7" personally, but I agree with others that there are way too many songs or acts that make it come across as boring at times.
