Well, Mr. ScreamingSteelUS recently did a review of this record. And just like last time with The Last Stand, I'll do one as well. Looking at the scores it looks like he finds this album an improvement over the previous one. Is it though? Yes? No? well? maybe a bit? It's complicated?
same rytm, same sound, new lyrics, different war history theme
same clots, well there were 2 other metalheads who had same clots all the time, the dumb ones

Fields of Verdun sounds like every other Sabaton song in existence. I liked the little bridge before the solo, but i'm guessing I could find it on a different song too.
It's a good album but it feels like they're writting the same thing over and over. The title track, I have deff already listen that in a previous album. It's an enjoyable listen, tho, like all their stuff usually is.
Thought their last effort was a bit stale but this is just brilliant.
I actually prefer the History Edition, it adds a bit extra oomph with the narrator setting up each song, nice touch Sabaton 🤘
"Seven Pillars Of Wisdom" by far the best the song on this album. Have to give it more spins before rating but solid release nonetheless.
Sounds a bit too much like White Death.
Agreed..
I've expected so much more from this album, but this album is utterly boring and a disappointment to me.
If this was the band's first album I sure wouldn't have bought it.
"Carolus Rex" will remain my favorite.

Seven Pillars Of Wisdom, the title track and The Attack Of The Dead Men (easily my favourite) are the ones that stand out here. It's better than their previous release but only by a small margin.
Bismark being waaaayy better than everything on this album really hurt it for me. Everything on the album just sounds flat in comparison. There are some good songs here like Attack of the Dead Men, 82nd All The Way, The Red Baron and Seven Pillars of Wisdom. Again though, none of those songs compare to Bismark for me. Then there is also the matter of the super short album length, clocking in at just over 35minutes. Doesn't help the length that I deleted Flanders Fields immediately after hearing it. Not one of the better Sabaton albums, I personally liked the previous release more.
A step forward from the two last ones. Not much more than that. Starts off decent with The Future Of Warfare and Seven Pillars Of Wisdom but quite soon it's back into the trench of mediocrity. Why do they insist on using the same production for their last five or six albums? It doesn't matter which album of theirs you listen to, it all sounds the same... sure some people like it that way but whatever.

I listened history edition disc, spoken parts was awesome , this is an serious band and album whit attitude, piss of if you dont like PM , band dont cares, just plays, and I like it, its catchy, heavy and decent lyric themes, interesting album. Like new album it works, but going trough whole disco, it would be boring IMO, even I think its better as last few.

Good album. An improvement over the previous one. Very few filler material here. Particularly the closing song was a huge surprise for me. If there is a great way to end an album, that song sums it up perfectly. No idea why the ratings are so low for this album. It is clearly their best since Carolus Rex.
I didn't listen history edition disc, never gonna listen spoken parts, this is an awful band and album whit crap, piss of if you dont like this awful kind of PM, band dont cares, just tortures you, and I loathe it, its generic, soft, and dull themes, shit album. Like new album it doesnt works, but going though whole disco, it would be an ear-massacre IMO, even I think its better than Lulu.
I really like the History Edition, the narration makes you feel like you're at a museum. Her voice is perfect except her Gandalf intro for Fields of Verdun makes me cringe. XD
