This album is like going to heavy metal heaven. The songs are anthems and the lyrics are compelling stories of the epic kind. With its solo bravado, truly majestic vocals, roaring melodies and beautifully crafted acoustic work, The White Goddess is too good to be ignored. There is never a dull moment in the kingdom of Atlantean Kodex.

Very interesting album, which is naturally controlled by epic, ambitious atmospheres and a rhythm section which very rarely becomes dull and bland. The vocals however really don't seem to match the quality of the instrumentation, and thus it sounds a little mixed at times. As on 'Sol Invictus' and 'Twelve stars and an azure down', the guitar work is beautiful and the drum/bass work flows very well indeed, but shoddy vocals which prove considerably weaker unfortunately lower the quality a bit. This is however more than made up for with the brilliance of songs such as 'Hersiarch' and excellent closer 'White goddess unveiled', both of which written from the heart and soul.

Took some time for me to get into this album, but now I love it . And I can't see why the vocals are weak here, it fits the music and sounds awesome.

Very beautiful music, just as the debut it captures a mythical and magical atmosphere that grabs hold of you the entire album. Slightly weaker than the debut but still an excellent record.

A Nice Guy
Just as epic as the debut, but perhaps a tad more inconsistent overall in comparison. However, "Sol Invictus" and "Enthroned In Clouds And Fire" are probably the two best songs the band has ever written.
