Guitarist, pianist and composer Oliver Palotai works as live-, studio musician and teacher.
He is a permanent band member of the band of "first lady of metal", Doro Pesch and the Progressive Metal act Kamelot.
In the past he was member of the bands of Blaze Bayley, former singer of Iron Maiden, Uli Jon Roth, one of the most important guitarists of rock guitar history and one of the founders of the Scorpions and Circle II Circle, the project of ex-Savatage singer Zak Stevens.
This year, 2007, he started his own band, Sons Of Seasons. The band is still at pre- production level.
Further he composes and produces in different genres and performs as a jazz musician.
In the past years he was touring through Asia, America, Europe and Australia. He played in Los Angeles, New York, Sydney, Melbourne, Bangkok, Tokyo, Osaka, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Istanbul, Athens, Rome, Budapest, Sofia, Helsinki, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, Madrid, London, Dublin, Brussels, Stockholm, Göteborg, Oslo, just to mention a few.
1999:
First Prize (A-categorie) with the jazz quintet 'Keechero' at the national contest "Jugend jazzt" (final) of the German music council in Rostock, the most important german contest
for young jazz musicians. Won a record deal at Mons Records.
1999:
Third prize with 'Psilocybe' at the biggest german contest for Pop-and
Rockmusicians, the 'Deutschen Poppreis' in Cologne, against approx. 1900 bands.
1999:
Member of the Yehudi Menuhin-Stiftung 'Live Music Now' (with 'Keechero').
From 2001:
Keyboarder & guitarist of DORO (ex-WARLOCK). World tours 'CALLING THE WILD' 2001 und 'FIGHT' 2002/3. Studioguitarist and-keyboarder on the 'FIGHT'-album (German charts: 18/August 2002).
From 2003:
First prize at the contest for jazz ensembles of the Rotary Clubs/HfM Nuremberg with the 'Paduiva'-Trio and own compositions.
2003- 2004:
Keyboarder for Circle II Circle, band of ex- Savatage singer Zak Stevens, Europe-tour November/Dezember 2003.
From 2004:
Arranger and keyboarder of the Classic Night Symphony Orchestra. Arranger for
'Classic Diamonds' (German Charts for 3 weeks).
