Formed in 2006 in Hong Kong and currently based in Philadelphia, USA, QUEEN ELEPHANTINE is a nebulous worship of heavy mood and time ? a pilgrimage through cosmic sludge.
The shape-shifting post-apocalyptic rock band draws from psychedelia, doom, drone, and noise as well as free jazz and sacred music from around the world.
They have released five albums as well as splits with Elder and Sons of Otis. GORGON, the sixth LP, was released in November 2019 via Argonauta Records and Atypeek Music.
Queen Elephantine is also currently working on a collaborative record with Phurpa, the renowned Tibetan ritual band from Russia.
They have shared bills with Oxbow, Elder, Insect Ark, Weedeater, Lightning Bolt, Pilgrim and many more.
