Biography

For those looking for intense riffage! Pummeling speed! And blistering technicality! Toxic Ruin will fit your bill and hit you right in the sweet spot! The sound can be described as old school death metal with a touch of new school thrash, or even old school thrash metal with a pinch of death.

Founded in 2014 by original members, David Miller and Stephen Behrendt, Toxic Ruin has been hard at work ever since, playing all over the Midwest, producing a full length album, and constantly writing new material for future releases. The current line up consists of the two founding members, and guitarists Jake Baneck and Blake Toltzmann. This four piece metal monstrosity is unlike anything else from the northern Midwest area. Calling the Lake Michigan shores of Sheboygan, Wisconsin home, Toxic Ruin is following the trail of several previous Metal acts of Wisconsin, such as Realm, Lazarus A.D., and the legendary Morbid Saint.

Yet, they retain an original sound and feel that can only be attained at a live Toxic Ruin show. At this live show, you can sure expect to be given ample amounts of ferocious energy from the stage, along with a tight, heavy sound that will draw in any miscreant from miles away. Whether it's David's precise, explosive double bass work, Stephen's demanding, possessed vocals, or the technical craftsmanship of Blake and Jake's harmonious string work, Toxic Ruin always intends to deliver the best at every venue! You can find Toxic Ruin's debut full length album, 'Subterranean Terror', everywhere music is sold online. Or at a live show near you where physical copies will be sold. The release gives everyone a good taste of just the kind of off-the-wall thrash metal that the band can offer. Containing ten full tracks, the album presents tons of different tempos, time changes, and lead work, always keeping the listener on their toes. The band will be hitting the studio hard in 2018, to record and release a four song ep. Then, soon after, return to the studio to begin recording a second full length LP.
