Dead Hour Noise is a three-piece mathcore band from Lansing, Michigan formed in 2013 by Ed Emmerich (guitars/bass), Collin Spencer (vocals), and Nick Deason (drums). Between 2014 and 2018 DHN performed as a five-piece with additional members Seth Clickner (bass) and Cody Hobbins (guitar). During this period the band released two EPs and a split 7" on Michigan based indie label Silver Maple Kill Records.

Following the departure of Hobbins and Clickner in 2017, DHN ultimately decided to continue work on their debut LP 'Sleeping Dogs' as a trio with Emmerich splitting guitar and bass duties. Their chaotic yet direct brand of heavy music takes influence from the dissonant and angular hardcore punk of the late 90's and early 00's with elements of grindcore, black metal, noise rock, and sludge metal.
