was nearly impossible to pass die-hard thrashers Contradiction within the past years: Since the band was kind of reborn in early 2003 they put the pedal to the metal: since then some 200 liveshows in various countries have been played. In 2005 the release of their 4th album THE VOICE OF HATRED (Armageddon Music/Soulfood) finally marked the long-deserved comeback of the 1989-founded band and was yet just the beginning of even more to happen.

Wacken Open Air, RockHarz, Dong Open Air, Thrash Till Death Italia... complete european tour with OVERKILL, "special guest" of SACRED REICHs tour (which was sold out!). Moreover plenty of festivals and shows throughout Europe ... not to mention 2 highly celebrated killer-albums. Finally they gained the reputation of being a kick-ass live-band. In summer of 2008 Contradiction were honoured to become the first german Metalband ever to completely tour Iceland, which turned out as a great success and the band gained a lot of new friends in the very north.

The current album "The Warchitect" celebrates 12 new songs of powerful melodic Thrash-Metal with great diversity: from pounding midtempo through epic sing-alongs up to the ultimate highspeed-hammer there's everything a metalhead desires. Once more Contradiction combine well-considered arrangements and raw material to turn out as a very heavy mixture, still influenced by bands such as Kreator, Testament and Slayer, but always independent. Recorded in the band's own studio, produced by Oliver Lux and mixed by Joachim Kopka, THE WARCHITECT is an outstanding piece of german THRASH METAL.

Some history: releasing the second demo tape Old Demon(1992) finally put the booking agencies' focus of attention on the band. Shortly afterwards they started recording sessions for their first full length album Rules Of Peace (1993), of which approx. 1.200 copies could be sold, not least according to impressive criticism in media such as metal magazines and fanzines. Harvest of all that years of hard work were support-slots for famous bands such as ICED EARTH, MASSACRA, TANKARD, FARMER BOYS etc...

Release of the second CD All we hate! (Midan Records/Rough Trade, 1996) was a big advance in the bands' musical progress and opened the door to some renowned stages. Due to some line-up changes and similar bad circumstances it became quiet about Contradiction though the band always existed. During that period of time not many shows were played, until it was the year 2002, when the guys decided to come back massively... and they DID!
