Biography
Våld [Swe:violence] was a Finnish death-punk band now burried in the hard ashes of corrosion. During their 6 active years Våld managed to record a quickly sold-out debut album, and a critically acclaimed follow-up which gained the band respect in Mexico, Japan, Germany ao. On the verge of World domination, with the base of an insane upcoming album already recorded, the successful project fell into reprobation. May the blame be put on forces beyond control.
A brief history:
Våld was formed in 2002 by Nick Napalm, former guitarist of Finnish metal act Terrorwheel. The mastermind guitar slayer wanted to create the baddest, meanest extreme metal spectacle in the country. Nick joined forces with punk persona G.G. (Loinen, Tuska, Veresliha, Sven Tuba & Fiskmåsarna), who's raw voice fit Nick's vision like a fist in the face. Kenzo, a well respected drum virtuoso since his teens, then joined the crew to be part of the metalution! Våld released their self-financed debut album, Apoplexia Cerebria, in 2003. Nick played bass on the album, but soon after the release, Våld found a permanent bass player in doomer D. It was time to take over the live stages. 2006 saw the release of a second album - Boycott Your Life. It was released by Treason Troops, a label Våld established to be completely in charge of their own products.
