War Within, based in Nashville, Tennessee, was formed in the summer of 2005 after guitarist Greg Messick's previous band Intruder (Metal Blade Records) disbanded. After a feverish search for other like minded musicians, the right chemistry was aligned with the addition of drummer Justin Ward, vocalist Mike Smith, and bassist Chris Veach (2008-2010) Already with a buzz around town about the band's formation, the band immediately jumped into touring and writing for their first full length album. T

he self-titled debut was recorded in Nashville at Tombstone Studio, produced and engineered by Kyle Mann (Chevelle), and mastered by James Murphy of the bands Death, Obituary, Testament and Disincarnate. Shortly after the release of their debut album, War Within has achieved regional success opening for acts such as: Job For A Cowboy, Static-X, [b9Nonpoint[/b], Dope, and others.

War Within is writing their sophomore effort and planning to record the album in the fall of 2013. With the enlistment of new bassist Paul Arntz and drummer Christopher Williams, the lineup is tighter, stronger, and more powerful than ever., War Within is writing their sophomore effort and planning to record the album at the end of 2009.
