Biography
Every ending brings a new beginning, so SKINBLEED saw the light in January 2004, drawing its strength from ashes.
From the start, passion and frustration were the energy seething the blood in the veins of the band. SKINBLEED recorded its first Demo "Starving And Burning" in 2006 and released it in July 2007, announcing a promising musical rage.
In December 2007, Julien Nicolas (Furia?) joined the band to record drums session that began in the early 2008 for the first album called "Against Destiny". Rage turned to hope and project was allowed to reach a new level of aggression.
Skinbleed's roots are seated on a bass-drums section that takes its groove in funk inspirations mixed with power and madness of Metal? Melting of various styles like Thrash, Power, Groove and Hardcore are the foundations of rhythm section. Above this raging maelstrom, voice becomes the link between fury and emotion, alternately tormented or melodic as a mirror reflecting our thoughts. Process is often violent, extreme and creating leaden atmospheres using sound just as well as lyrics, talking about self-thoughts, own failure, anger and sadness. But our urban societies are not forgotten with their plagues like solitude, racism, all surrounded by a starving Time constantly wearing out ours lives?
SKINBLEED would be this uncertain place where Machine Head, Tool and Jeff Buckley could have met and crossed their sounds
