Out of the darkest night, playing the blackest of metal. LAKE OF BLOOD hail from California and play modern black metal, with hints of death, thrash, and doom. Comparable to the sounds of Agalloch, Drudkh, Emperor, and Immortal, LAKE OF BLOOD's black metal is so well-crafted, one could be easily convinced that the band is a seminal pioneer of the genre.
They recently finished recording their debut, "Heed the Primal Calling," at Sky Blue Studios. Milkweed Records had the honor of releasing the EP this summer. It features 4 songs of epic black metal that tell the story of man's return to a primal state of existence, free from the spoils of civilization.
