Biography
Vaalnor is a Swiss band founded in 2009 that has chosen to move in a musical atmosphere binder Celtic pagan metal in consonance with the melodic metal. This training consists of 6 members: Mickaël on vocals and flute, Dominique and Mathias on guitars, keyboard Benjamin, Yannick on bass and Slordef (Maximilien) on drums.
After months of rehearsal, in November 2009, they released their first demo they recorded three tracks on their own in their local and after 5 years of work, the band released their first album "Under the Flag of Nayjis" during 2014.
The fantastic story told by the singer is a creation of the group. This story tells the tale of two brothers, one of whom was killed in battle. The second folds in on itself and the memories of his late brother, reappearing in his dreams. That's where he decides to go in search of answers about his ancestors.
Seeking in their early concerts, they played for Totem in Sion VS Metal Sound Festival. Then they play the Manor Pub in St-Maurice. For their second concert, the evening was so successful that it broke the attendance record for the pub with over 250 people. They continue their road and go to Le Locle (NE) play at Rock Ness.
Vaalnor was fortunate to be selected to play at Metal Camp at the Magic Circle Festival July 11, 2010 in Tolmin in Slovenia with bands like Manowar, Arch Enemy, Holyhell, Kamelot ...
Back from Slovenia, they linked together some dates in Valais and are marked in Europe by several reporters metal webzine from England or Norway.
Some time later they occur Metal Over All Malleray and Bikini Test La Chaux-De-Fonds.
For their first concert of 2012, they set out to play with Norwegian Dietikon Einherjer. They also prepare their first album.
