Around 1989, when Suicidal Tendencies were writing and recording "Lights...Camera...Revolution!", the band re-recorded their self-titled debut album in its entirety because they did not have the rights to reissue it. The result of the re-recording of the debut was "Still Cyco After All These Years", which was released in 1993.

Their song "Subliminal" from their 1983 Self Titled was featured in the 2013 video game "Grand Theft Auto V" on the radio station entitled "Channel X".

The artwork for the band's single "Possessed to Skate" was used as a T-shirt design for the skateboard magazine "Thrasher" in 2007.

The band was once a punk act, which soon began adding thrash parts and metal influence. In later times, they've incorporated funk elements into their music.
