D.R.I. - Announce Second US Leg Of 40th Anniversary Tour

Crossover thrash legends D.R.I. have announced the second U.S. leg of their 40th anniversary tour, which will include mostly cities/states that the band did not play during the initial leg of the tour. The October dates will include support from Deathwish (not to be confused with the British thrash metal band of the same name), while Metalriser will open up for the December dates. D.R.I., whose most recent studio album is 1995's Full Speed Ahead, recently confirmed that a new record is in the works.

D.R.I. - New Album Update

Although they did release new music back in 2016 on the EP But Wait...There's More!, it has been 27 years since crossover thrash pioneers D.R.I. released their last proper studio album so far, Full Speed Ahead. In a recent interview with Metal Remains, frontman Kurt Brecht confirmed that he has constantly been writing new material, but is uncertain of when a new album will be released.

D.R.I. - Announce 2023 South American Tour Dates

Crossover thrash icons D.R.I. have announced that they will continue celebrating its 40th anniversary with an eight-date South American tour, which will take place in March of next year. The band's most recent release is the 2016 EP But Wait...There's More!, and a new full-length studio album - which will be D.R.I.'s first since 1995's Full Speed Ahead - has reportedly been in the pipeline.

D.R.I. - New 40th Anniversary Shows Unveiled

Following up on their 40th anniversary U.S. tour that kicks off later this month, crossover thrash icons D.R.I. will continue to commemorate the occasion with a Canadian run in June and July, with Canadian hardcore pioneers Dayglo Abortions and Citizen Rage both taking the support slots. In addition to touring plans, D.R.I. are currently reportedly working on new music for their first full-length studio album since 1995's Full Speed Ahead. Their latest studio recording is the EP But Wait...There's More!, which came out back in 2016.

Crossover thrash icons D.R.I. have announced rescheduled dates of their Australian tour with Hirax, which will take place a year from now. This trek will see Hirax promote their long-awaited new album, which will be their first since 2014's Immortal Legacy and is slated to be released later this year. The Dirty Rotten Imbeciles, aka D.R.I., have a treat for their fans this year. They are releasing a new EP! But Wait... D.R.I. - Spike Cassidy Admitted To Hospital Due To Colectomy Complications

US punk/crossover thrash metallers D.R.I.'s guitarist and founding member Spike Cassidy is in the hospital recovering from complications after a colectomy (removal of entire colon) performed earlier this month. The recovery process may interfere with the band's future touring plans.
