Original news, published on 13.08.2010

Vocalist Phil Labonte commented: "Fans of Overcome won't be disappointed, but the disc will also offer new twists and turns."

All That Remains will be touring with As I Lay Dying and Unearth in September and October. Fans can expect additional headlining dates around the release of For We Are Many. The band will then head to Europe for dates in November and December.

UPDATE (thanks to 106333)

All That Remains have revealed the cover artwork for their upcoming new album, For We Are Many. The artwork was done by Travis Smith, and can be viewed here.

Vocalist Phil Labonte told Noisecreep: "I'm really proud of the artwork for this dis. I wanted it to be heavy and let the art speak for itself. That was part of the reason for leaving the name of the band off the cover.

This is the first time I've had the idea for a cover before we started. Other discs, I would tell the artist, 'I can tell ya what I don't want, but I can't tell ya what I want.' Travis Smith is really cool to work with. He'd done The Fall of Ideals, so I knew him and he's great to work with. I'd told him what I wanted, and it came together pretty fast."

Insomnium - Sign With Century Media Records

Official press release

We are very happy to announce that we have signed a worldwide deal with the mighty Century Media Records. Throughout the spring and summer we negotiated with several attractive labels but in the end it was clear that Century Media would be our home for the years to come. Their enthusiasm, professionalism and genuine love for music made an instant impact on us. We are convinced that this alliance will lead to even greater achievements in the future and also avails us to tour outside Europe more often. And naturally it is a great honor for us to stand in the same team with the likes of Dark Tranquillity, Arch Enemy, Paradise Lost, The Haunted, Finntroll and Turisas. A new exciting chapter in the story of Insomnium has begun!

We want to thank Jens Prueter and the whole Century Media crew for putting their trust in us. We thank our manager Jukka Varmo for handling the negotiations very smoothly. We also wish to thank our previous label Candlelight Records for the decade that we spent with them. We salute you all!

Jens Prueter, Head Of A&R Century Media Europe commented: "It's great to welcome a band that has developed over the past year to one of the most exciting bands in the Metal scene. I always liked their unique mix of Finnish melancholy with Melodic Death Metal and even more so they always blew my mind seeing them live. You can feel that this is a band of brothers who haven't changed their line-up since their debut album in 2002. In case of doubt go and see them on their tour with Dark Tranquillity this Fall - you won't be disappointed! I cheer my horns up North and thank Insomnium for their trust in Century Media Records."

And last but not least - the biggest thanks goes to all our fans! We would've not got this far without you! See you on tour, dear friends!

Vulture Industries - New Album Details

Norwegian avantgarde metalers Vulture Industries have updated their MySpace with the following information:

"Finally the dates have been set for the release of our sophomore album on Dark Essence Records. The album will be out on CD and digital format on the 13th of September in Norway and the 4th of October in Europe. The album has the title The Malefactor's Bloody Register.

As last time the material is recorded at Conclave & Earshot Studios by Bjørnar Nilsen, who is also our frontman. The album was mastered by Brian Gardner (Isis, Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie), and features a guest appearance by Enslaved's Herbrand Larsen on "Hammond Organ", as well as special guests on cello, viola and saxophone.

The Malefactor's Bloody Register explores the theme of crime and punishment from the perspective of both the criminal and the hangman, and once again we have been lucky enough to persuade Helge Jordal, one of Norway's most renowned character actors to appear on the cover of the album. Jordal had agreed to be featured in the artwork for The Dystopia Journals after listening to the album, and his collaboration with the band continues with The Malefactor's Bloody Register, for which he takes on the role of the Hangman, and is photographed in brandishing a law-book and clutching a noose."

"The Bolted Door", one of the new tracks on The Malefactor's Bloody Register is now streaming on MySpace.

The Malefactor's Bloody Register cover art] tracklist:

01. Crooks & Sinners

Nothnegal - Studio Update

Maldives-based extreme power metal outfit Nothnegal are currently in the studio recording their debut full-length. The band writes:

"So we are back in studio after a much needed break and as you may already know, have been writing the material for this album for over a year now and the whole album have actually been rewritten four times! We have been working hard on the overall sound and the material thats gonna end up on the album turned out to be completely different from what we started out with. Due to the writing process, we had to postpone the originally planned recording schedule. But it's all good now, we got 8 songs all done and ready to record. And if you are wondering what they sound like, it does have some melodic elements from the Antidote EP and they are mixed with some heavy/thrashy guitars, everything is slower compared to what we have doing before. We played two songs from the album, "Claymore" and "Janus" on our show with Arch Enemy last month.

Kevin Talley (Dååth, ex-Misery Index, ex-Dying Fetus, ex-Chimaira) has already tracked the drums for all of the songs which were awesome as expected! So whats left now is the guitars, bass, vocals and keys, everything except the drums..."

Nothnegal recently signed a worldwide deal with record label Season Of Mist. The band will also be supporting Finntroll, Samael and Rotting Christ on their European tour in November.

Our guitar tech will stand in for the time being and we'll, of course, keep you updated."

Onslaught - New Album Title Announced

Onslaught have set Sounds Of Violence as the title of their fifth album, due for worldwide release later this year via Germany's AFM Records.

Commented Onslaught guitarist Nige Rockett: "Sounds of Violence is a very fitting title for the new recording. Musically and lyrically, this is definitely the most brutal and intense Onslaught album to date. It's full of machine-gun riffs, ferocious drum patterns and some pretty fucked up lyrical content.

This album was never meant to be pretty. It's not a concept album by any measure but there's a definite theme to the whole package, right through from the sleeve design to the music and onto the words;, it's violence all the way. There's a lot of hate in Sounds of Violence and a whole lot of reality in there, too, much of it straight from the heart."

As previously reported, the follow-up to 2007's Killing Peace will be recorded and mixed at Hansen Studio in Ribe, Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen, starting on August 16th. An audio sample of the pre-production of the song "Born For War" can be heard at the band's MySpace profile.
