Mercyful Fate - No Reunion At Hand
Rumours that Mercyful Fate was going to play again started after the wedding of one of Force Of Evil's guitarists on March 19th.
This is what was written back then on Covenworldwide, the official Mercyful Fate and King Diamond webpage:
"A rare meeting took place at Michael Denner's wedding on March 17th.. Members from original Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, Force Of Evil and Zoser Mez were all present to support Michael in getting married. Mercyful Fate presented 5 members, King Diamond presented 3 members, Force of Evil presented 5 members and Zoser Mez presented 4 members. Ole Bang, Tourmanager of all 4 bands since the beginning, was making sure all musicians were in place for the photoshoot."

Hellfest - Schedule Time Table & Information
Hello everybody!
The schedule time table is online here. You can already start to prepare your planning!
Note by the way this important notification: Cameras with flash will be strictly forbidden on the Sunday! Don't forget it if you don't want to go back to your car or your tent when you'll be all the way at the gates of the festival.
The camping will be better this year with more sanitary conditions, toilets but also showers and you'll be able to have breakfast in the morning (though the breakfast will not be free).
The price of the camping will be ?10 (for 1 or 4 nights). It's not free but you have to know that the price that we have to pay for the fields for the camping and parking is really expensive. On the other hand, we will offer to all the campers a special "Hellfest Metal Bag" where they will be able to put their refundable glass bottles, their purchases of the day at the Extreme Market and where they will find some presents of our partners.

The Old Dead Tree - To Record New Album
Plucked from the official Seasons Of Mist Newsletter:
"French Goth Metal act The Old Dead Tree will soon enter the Stage One Studio in Germany, to record their forthcoming album. The recording sessions will start on next June 3rd and last three weeks. Once again, the band decided to give trust to producer Andy "Master" Classen.
The band describes the new material as "a twisted and schizophrenic blend of evocative riffs and arrangements put together with an overload of sheer emotion. The new songs do widen the previous artistic borders without disavowing the typical musical identity of the band".
The Old Dead Tree's yet to be named third album is tentatively due for a worldwide release in autumn 2007, on Season of Mist. We will get you more details as soon as possible..."

Lake Of Tears - Another New Song Online
Another new song 'Island Earth' from the upcoming album "Moons And Mushrooms" is now available on Lake Of Tears MySpace's page here.
You can also find on the same link another song 'Last Purple Sky' from "Moons And Mushrooms" which was released previously.
The 7th album from Lake of Tears, "Moons and Mushrooms" was released on April 22. The album comes in two editions: one standard jewel case and one limited edition digipack with the bonus track "Is There A Better Way".

Theatres Des Vampires - New Video Available

"Theatres Des Vampires is going to participate in the soundtrack of the animated short Murnau The Vampire.
'Bring Me Back' will be the main track of the film, from his latest production Desire Of Damnation. Besides of 3 re-arranged versions of Jester's Shadow, Carnival Day and Curse Of Headless Christ.
They also confirmed his participation on the album, "Listen The Children Of The Night" with a remix of "La Danse Macabre Du Vampire". The original version of this song is part of the "Desire Of Damnation" album.
OM Animation Studio will follow the realization of the videoclip 'Bring Me Back' from the album "Desire Of Damnation", and this videoclip will be included in the upcoming DVD: "Murnau The Vampire".

Loits - "Must Album" Release Info
Loits "Must album"
Nearly three years have passed since the release of "Vere kutse kohustab", but Loits have not left their guns rusting in the ditch. On Estonian Flag Day, June 4th, the long-awaited "Must album" ("Black album"), encompassing nine songs of unheard-of brilliance. The record is not unlike a picture album left behind by the grand-grandparents, documenting not only photographs, but also all the joy expereiced, as well as the tragedy of one small nation. "Must album" does not glorify the love for the fatherland or the soldier's valour, not the beauty of life or the pain of grief, although the latter one acts like the cord that twines the songs together. The new Loits album is a gift of remembrance to those departed, serving also as a reminderto all that injustice never dies.

The limited edition of "Must album" is a true bag of surprises to all friends of Loits. In addition the actual album, the neat cardboard package contains a cool sticker as well as six commemoratory cards. The main thing, though, is the bonus EP "Mustad laulud" ("Black songs"), containing four tunes that are of somewhat different cast, yet entirely delicious nevertheless. And as if this was not enough, it also includes a photo album, a newsreel movie about the "Must album" record and a "Monologue" balancing the overall tonality of the album, all launchable on a PC. Together with Loits you are strong!

After trying on some boots of Spanish origin, the admired musicians were ready to agree to anything, meaning, this time, the signing of all pre-ordered records. After a few entertaining hours in the company of a searing iron and a torture wheel, the people of Loits began wondering about offering up even more surprises. The good old practice of lashing gave root to the idea to raffle off among the pre-orderers of the limited edition the silver medallion depicted on the album cover. One of the pre-orderers of the regular version will also receive the guitar strings used during the recording of "Must album".
The last day to pay for the pre-order is May 31, 2007; we'll start sending out the records on June 4th at the latest. If you are unable to reimburse us in the seven days following the receipt of our purchase verification, please contact us in person; otherwise your order will be deemed null and void.

Severe Torture - Album Details Revealed
Dutch death metallers Severe Torture have set "Sworn Vengeance" as the title of their new album, due late June on Earache Records. "The album recordings are close to finished," the band writes on its web site. "Dennis is almost done recording vocals and everything is turning out great!"

Therion - Announce Latin American Tour
Therion have updated on their official website the dates and countries involved in its second Wolrd Tour, The Latin American Tour. The venues and other stuff aren't confirmed, only the concert in Argentina, Buenos Aires is confirmed but the other concerts following the tour will be confirmed and updated when everything is done. You can check the countries and cities that Therion will visit on its official site http://www.megatherion.com/tour.xhtml. The tours was booked by TopLink and this was announced on Therion's website on March 27th 2007. The tour will be starting on September 21st.

Gaia Epicus - Mainman To Release Solo Album
Thomas C. Hansen, mainman for Norwegian power metallers Gaia Epicus, is planning to release his first solo album this fall. The album will be called "Like A Shadow" and the music is going to be melodic rock/metal. According to a press release, "the album will mostly be instrumental songs with some progressive elements."
