MORS PRINCIPIUM EST NEW ALBUM NEWS !

MORS PRINCIPIUM EST 's new album tentatively entitled 'THE UNBORN' will be recorded in Tico-Tico studio in Finland during the 4 weeks of November 2004. Mastering will take place at Finnvox studios in December 2004 . The cover-art for the album will be done by Mattias Norèn (www.progart.com). The band gave us a little insight about the new material on this new album :
"In comparison to "Inhumanity" the new album will take a step towards heavier and somewhat darker atmosphere still containing the overall
melodic grasp of music presented. The album is full of diversity and the songs have a slightly more modern approach as in form of sampling and the use of computer programming among Mikkos traditional drumwork.
As for the rhythm and soloparts twin-guitars will have the main role and the keyboard continues to colour the backround without being introduced as a soloinstrument on this album either.
Villes growling has developed since inhumanity and some serious voice control will be heard, also some clean vocals are used but the weight is kept on Villes throat. Overall, the album shall be an overall solid example of the fact that the "melodic deathmetal" as a sceneis still pretty far from it's possible expiration date"

Steve Tucker leaves Morbid Angel

Steve Tucker have decide to leave the band, David Vincent will be in charged of the vocals and bass, here is a message from Steve:

"After many problems and much discussion with the people around me, the people I trust. I have decided it is necessary for me to step away from Morbid Angel. It has been a long trip with a lot of great shows and I have made many friends along the way. The Morbid Angel fans that not only excepted me ,but reveled in my being a part of the band, have been the greatest thing about my time in Morbid Angel, they are the reason I came back to the band.

There are many reasons for me leaving the band, personal reasons, musical reasons and very logical reasons. All of which will stay between me and the band . Morbid Angel existed many years before I came along and will for many more I am sure.

I have enjoyed playing with some great musicians and touring with some great bands and meeting some incredible people all over the world. To all these people I say "Thank You" and we will meet again.

I am not done with the music business by any means, I will now be moving into other areas of the business, things I have always enjoyed, but didn't have time for. I will be moving into much more recording ,production and management, so any bands interested in working with me, feel free to contact me at hewhosleeps@hotmail.com .

Again ,Thank you to all of the fans for 8 years of making my hour and a half of stage time so brilliant!!! Tucker"

Green Carnation limited box set. DVD release

Interesting news from Prophecy Records website:

"GREEN CARNATION - Trilogy - LP box

GREEN CARNATION are inviting their fans to a special treat with their beautiful box set: "The Trilogy" contains all three of GREEN CARNATION's albums on heavy vinyl and with luxurious gatefold covers in a deluxe box. Especially the covers to ?Journey To The End Of The Night" and ?Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness" finally show to their advantage in this format. We follow the Norwegians' musical voyage from their debut album ?Journey To The End Of The Night" via the second release ?Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness" to their most recent work, ?A Blessing In Disguise". While ?Journey To The End Of The Night" (on which Tchort was helped by Vibeke from Tristania and the Botteri twins from In The Woods ?) was very much located in the Psychedelic Doom Metal area, ?Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness" features a blending of heavy doom guitars, orchestral arrangements and Progressive Rock influences. Finally, ?A Blessing In Disguise" reveals the melancholic Hard Rock side of GREEN CARNATION. In addition to these three albums, "The Trilogy" includes five previously unreleased acoustic versions of some tracks from the ?A Blessing In Disguise" album. In Europe, this box set is limited to 333 hand-numbered copies".

Darkane to start recording new album soon

Guitarist Christofer Malmström of Swedish thrashers DARKANE has posted the following message on his web site:

"It's going to be a busy autumn. Finally it seems like Peter's hands are healed and we can start the serious work on our upcoming album. All songs are written but never rehearsed and we are going to start rehearsing two new songs. A few days ago we did a show at a festival in the area where we live and it turned out very good! I would say all of us did a great performance considering that we haven't played together since November last year. The recording of the new album will start ASAP.

"The recording of my solo project will probably start in a few months or so. Ryan is busy with his DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND and other projects but will start recording as soon as he has learned the songs and is ready to go. It will be released next year anyway."

DARKANE's last studio album, "Expanding Senses", was released in 2002 through Nuclear Blast Records.

They plan to enter in the studios on August and released the album in early 2005, this are some worlds of the drummer Craing Nielsen:

"leaps and bounds heavier than the last four records combined, definitely a return to the bands roots but still with some ambient surprises that break up all the speed riffing. There seems to be an inspired vibe going on in the writing process that is taking on a life of its own."
