Mudvayne - Considering Working On New Material
Alternative/nu metal legends Mudvayne - who were reformed last year after more than a decade out of the spotlight - haven't released a full-length studio album since their 2009 self-titled fifth album. But the band is just about to change that, as frontman Chad Gray stated in a recent interview with Avenged Sevenfold bassist Johnny Christ via his 'Drinks With Johnny' podcast that he hopes Mudvayne will start working on new music very soon.

The Locust - Drummer & Guitarist Gabe Serbian Passed Away
Gabe Serbian, a longtime drummer (in early years guitarist) of the American hardcore/grindcore outfit The Locust, has passed away. Serbian was also a founding member of deathgrind unity Cattle Decapitation and part of the band between 1996 and 2001. He also did play drums in Zu and delivered vocals in Dead Cross.

Michael Schenker Group - New Song & Lyric Video Streaming
Michael Schenker Group have shared a new lyric video for the song ''A King Has Gone'', which appears on the band's forthcoming studio release - Universal - due on May 27th. The track, sung by Helloween frontman Michael Kiske, is a tribute to the immortal Ronnie James Dio, in particular to his performance on the 1976 hard rock classic Rainbow Rising. For this reason, Michael Schenker has brought together an original Rainbow rhythm section consisting of Bobby Rondinell and Bob Daisley.

Godsmack - Next Album May Be Band's Last
Godsmack frontman Sully Erna stated in a recent interview with 101.1 WJRR radio that the band may not release any more studio albums beyond the upcoming follow-up to their 2018 album When Legends Rise, which is expected to be released in 2023. It is not clear at this moment if this means Godsmack will call it quits after that.

Testament - Chuck Billy On Band's Next Album, Upcoming Debut Solo Album
In a recent interview on the Full Metal Jackie radio show, Testament frontman Chuck Billy offered an update on two projects that he is planning to release later this year or next year. One is the upcoming Testament album, which will be, not only their first since 2020's Titans Of Creation, but the first to feature the recently-returning drummer Dave Lombardo since 1999's The Gathering. His other project is his debut solo album, which he announced last year and its direction will be slightly different from the traditional thrash metal sound of Testament.
