Majesty - Split, New Band Launched

As posted on the Majesty myspace page:

"A new era is beginning!

Here is an official statement from Tarek "MS" Maghary: "First of all I want to tell all fans, partners and friends, that Majesty no longer exists. There was no basis anymore for me and the previous nembers of Majesty to continue our creative work.
I had a feeling for quite a while now that the time has come to restart with a new band to point out that Heavy Metal can never be stopped and that a new force will bring the whole world that mighty message. In a dream I recently had, only one name for that power came to my mind: Metalforce
This new band will exactly do what also was the essence of Majesty, but even bigger and more powerful. The first gig on the MCF 08 already filled me up with pride as I looked into the eyes of tenthousands of fans who encouraged us in our decision.
We will very soon release a new album and tour all over the world.
Finally I want to tell you one important thing: All the things we did and things we will do are done first and foremost for all our fans out there who like we give all their blood and sweat for the only way to live: Heavy Metal!
With Metalforce a new era is beginning and I know from the bottom of my heart, that all our fans will accompany us on that great mission.""

Satyricon - Upcoming Album Update

Norwegian metellars Satyricon have issued the following update::

''The last week and a half has been very eventful, recording vocals, brass with people from the the Broadcasting orchestra and the philharmonic, last night we had a choir called Grex Vocalis in the studio and we did a big photo shoot last weekend with tame wolves and lynx's (that were not tame) at some sort of reservate up in the mountains here in Norway. Very fascinating and powerful! We also went to some locations which represent the country's dramatic nature in a great way.

This week we're finishing the final recordings and preparing the album for mix. Saturday we play Kaltenbach Open Air in Austria and Monday we fly back to L.A to mix the record with Joe Barresi and do mastering with Brian Gardner.

Euro tour is currently being lined up for mid November till late December these days and we're coming to back to America for the first time since 04 in January and February as direct support for COF.

On the next update, the album title will be revealed. Take care.''

Amoral - Parts Ways With Singer

Finnish metallers Amoral have issued the following update:

"We are sad to inform you that Niko is leaving Amoral. A while ago he sat us down and told us that he's having serious motivation problems and feels like it's time to do other things. We were in shock, as none of us saw this coming. We were sure Niko was enjoying the ride just as much as we were. We tried reasoning with him, even offering him a year-long break to do whatever else he feels like he needs to do, but quickly realized he had already made his mind.

Of course we were devastated at first. Niko was just as crucial part of the band as the rest of us, and also our frontman, the voice of the band. Was this the end of Amoral? The rest of us discussed this and were happy to see that we all felt that there's no way we're stopping now. We've worked too hard to get where we are, and we enjoy playing together, so why would we give it all up? We decided to look at the bright side of the situation: this would be our chance to pursue in a more melodic direction, something we've wanted for a long time but weren't able to do with Niko. This shouldn't come as a surprise for you who've been following our doings. The "rock n' roll vibe" has been present in our live shows and songs since our second album Decrowning, and especially on the last album Reptile Ride, which had some melodic vocals and a lot of stuff not suitable under the "technical death metal" -tag we've had on us…

We'll leave it to Niko to explain his decision more specifically. Niko, good luck with whatever it is you decide to do in the future. It was a pleasure having you in the band, and you'll always be "one of us", just like your Amoral tattoo suggests.

Niko's last gig with us will be at the "Thrashia Läpi Yön" - festival at Tammela, Finland on August 23rd. After this we'll take a long break from gigs, and start writing the 4th Amoral album. We already have a lot of material to work on, even a couple of songs 99% ready, and we're hyped about how these sound! No release dates or any kind of deadlines have been decided on, as we wanna get this just right."

Divine Heresy - Search For New Vocalist

Century Media announced the following post for the Divine Heresy regarding their search for a new vocalist:

"There has been much speculation as of late to the status of Divine Heresy's lead singer situation after their last tour, and the band is now going back to the drawing board to explore more options. If you are interested in trying out for the position, you need to go to the group's Myspace page to download some instrumental tracks. You will need to record your vocals on them and submit them back to Divineheresyband@AOL.com along with a bio, any possible photos and contact info. Vocal tracks should be as organic as possible. No autotune or vocal effects, excessive reverb, etc.

In other news Divine Heresy recently completed a very successful run as part of the "Tyranny and Bloodshred Tour," and will now spend the summer months writing material for their much anticipated, sophomore release. However, the group does plan on playing a few dates in Mexico and South America this August."

Onslaught - New Album On The Way

Nige Rockett , from UK metallers Onslaught, has issued the following update:

"Hi Ladies / Gentlemen

Hope everyone is doing good...?

Just to let you all know, Onslaught will now begin work on writing the follow up album to last years thrash assault "Killing Peace".......First track was written and completed early last year, but now over the next few months we will forge ahead to write the remaining slabs of 666% Pure Thrash....We have a choice of 3 titles for the new album and all of the basic song outlines are firmly in place...

We're all real excited about making this album, we have our own studio set-up and a whole new outlook on how to make this next record a screaming fucking monster...!!!! with Andy Rosser-Davies now in the band there's gonna be lots of fresh input and a slightly different slant to the 'Slaught'...He's a very aggressive player, very much like me, so the musical violence is gonna be increased considerably...with serious amounts of shredding.......!!!!!

We'll keep you all updated as we progress with each song and all other album related info...
Take care.
Nige"

Pyramaze - Announce New Singer

Posted on the band's official website:

"Dear friends

After auditioning some really good singers during the last couple of months, we have finally found a new band-brother -none other than singer extraordinaire Urban breed (ex-Tad Morose) has joined our ranks, and we are all very excited. Urban is well known for his powerful voice, stage presence and great diversity. We welcome Urban into the band, and we hope that our fantastic fans will approve of this choice too. Trust us when we say there's no one better to fill out the big shoes left by his predecessors. To those of you who do not know Urban yet, I would like to encourage you to check out the MP3's at the end of this announcement - this is just a little taste of what Urban sounds like. Please note - the songs are NOT new Pyramaze songs, but material from Urban's past recordings. Thanks for your attention, and now on to a statement from Urban himself.

Michael Kammeyer.

Samples from the previous work of Urban breed:

> Tad Morose - Anubis
> Tad Morose - Servant Of The Bones
> Bloodbound - Crucified

Statement from Urban:

Hello everyone

I am very pleased to join ranks with the great guys and talented musicians of Pyramaze. I'm looking forward to the challenge of filling those big shoes and working with these guys live and in the studio. I think we have a lot to offer each other, and I hope Pyramaze fans are as excited as we are to hear us working together.

Urban breed"

Pyramaze - Will Support Volbeat On Danish Shows

Pyramaze has been announced as the support for Volbeat on the Danish leg of the band's European tour. The tour will be in support of Volbeat's new upcoming album "Guitar Gangsters And Cadillac Blood". The full extensive list of dates can be seen here.

Pyramaze will play the following dates:

05.11.08 - Store Vega, Copenhagen, Denmark
06.11.08 - Gimle, Roskilde, Denmark
07.11.08 - Train, Århus, Denmark
08.11.08 - Tobakken, Esbjerg, Denmark
09.11.08 - Tønder Kulturhus, Tønder, Denmark

Pyramaze's Michael Kammeyer comments: "We are very pleased that we have been invited on to the Volbeat tour. They are currently the biggest and best selling heavy metal band in Denmark, and we are proud that we have been invited personally by the band to be their special guest".

Volbeat's Michael Poulsen comments: "I was knocked over when i heard Pyramaze's new album, which contains one of my favourite metal singers, Matt Barlow (Iced Earth). In fact I dare to claim that this is Denmark's best metal release since Mercyful Fate. Great melodies and a singer, who can easily be placed on the heavy metal throne and wait for his crown. This band has absolutely earned respect and attention. It's cool to be able to bring some "old rats", who have been a part of the metal scene for a long time. Unfortunately Matt is no longer in Pyramaze, but the music stands strong enough on it's own and a new singer is currently being auditioned".

Celesty - Prepare To Enter The Studio

Finland's Celesty have posted the following update on the band's official site :

"It's only two weeks and then starts Celesty's 4th album recordings and this time with Samu Oittinen in Fantom Studio. It's the third time when we do the album with Samu and the whole band is very exited to work again with him. We have done lots of work during this year with our new songs and it's going to be most challenging album in Celesty's history ever.

Upcoming album will be wider than ever before including the booklet. All the main characters will be introduced with pictures and there also will be an updated map of "The Land Of The Cryon", so album contains more visual theme than earlier. ToxicAngel will design the album cover. Because of the cover idea and Toxic's style I'm sure it's going to be an elegant cover "
