Deicide - Sign With Century Media Records
Official press release
Twenty years ago, an underground cult movement surfaced in Tampa, Florida that revolutionized the metal world. The pioneers of this burgeoning scene, Deicide, are still striking fear into hearts of the masses to this day. Century Media Records are extremely proud to announce a worldwide deal with Deicide, one of the founding fathers of death metal. The group stands strong to this day as one of the most influential and controversial bands ever. With a relentlessly brutal sound and uncompromisingly blasphemous lyrics, Deicide helped set the standards for extreme metal and have maintained those standards ever since.
Deicide led by original members Glen Benton (vocals, bass) and Steve Asheim (drums) have been busy at Audiohammer Studios with Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Chimaira) and are looking at a summer '09 release. The group have reunited with legendary guitarists Jack Owen (ex-Cannibal Corpse) and Ralph Santolla (Obituary, ex-Iced Earth, Death) and will embark on a two-week European tour this week. Feel free to visit the band's official MySpace page to view their complete itinerary.
Benton states: "I want to say it is an honor to be an official CM artist. I look forward to working with the fine folks at CM and providing them with our style of metal. I can ensure you that what surfaces will definitely be nothing less than a total bash-your-face-in-from-start-to-finish, bastardpiece. HAIL SATAN!!!!"
Asheim further comments: "I'm happy to be a part of the CM family and look forward to working with them. The new Deicide material in the works should be a good way to kick off the new deal. It's a totally sick new record with a totally sick new label, but the same ol' sick Deicide. See you all in 2009 and hold onto your balls!"
Owen adds: "It is an honor and a pleasure to sign with one of the most established metal labels on the planet. Century Media's track record speaks for itself, and we can't wait to unleash this beast of a new Deicide album through the mighty CM! Many thanks to Kevin Astl and Steve Joh for their long hours bringing this deal to full fruition!"
Deicide released their groundbreaking self-titled debut in 1990. Recorded at Tampa's Morrisound Studio (the legendary studio where the band would go on to record all its albums), the vicious debut would soon be hailed as one of the "Top 100 Metal Albums of the 90's" by England's metal authority, Terrorizer Magazine. In 1992, Deicide followed up their debut with "Legion", which was an instant success, further establishing their furious musical intensity and vengeful anti-Christian stance. This landmark extreme metal release secured their place at the forefront of the American death metal scene as they rapidly earned a reputation for controversy.

By Night - Band Update
By Night have posted the following update on their official MySpace:
2009 will be an interesting year for all the people around By Night. We have just booked our first show for 2009 and we are working hard to get finished with all the songs for the next record. For now, we have at 5 new songs and at least ideas for 5 more so we are really close to getting it together. The songs seem to be the most heavy and aggressive we have done so far, no compromise or false identity from By Night. This is really worth waiting for. That's a promise from us...
Studio time will soon be booked and a new album will be released before the year is over.

Man Must Die - Working On New Album
Relapse Records posted the following press release on November:
"Glasgow, Scotland's Man Must Die have entered the studio to begin recording the follow-up to their Relapse debut, "The Human Condition". This brand new album, "No Tolerance For Imperfection", is being recorded at Grindstone Studios in the UK with producer Scott Atkins.
Man Must Die's Danny McNab commented on the new album: "With 11 songs, full to the brim with anger, heaviness and melodic hooks, MMD cannot wait to unleash this new slab of aural assault and hit the road to promote "NTF"I. We are really psyched about the new record, its like we are a new band with a new found passion for the extreme, we cannot wait to get on the road again and show what MMD are all about. We really think fans old and new will love "No Tolerance For Imperfection" - it's pure MMD but with some new twists and turns, and definitely a new level of intensity. Expect "No Tolerance For Imperfection" to be out around April 2009."
With "No Tolerance For Imperfection", Man Must Die also introduce brand new drummer Matt Holland to the fold. "With Matt as the immense new sticksman behind the blasts at the Man Must Die camp, it ushers in a new era of intensity and rage!" McNab adds; "He has added some serious spice to the new material, and some of his playing if off the scales!"
Man Must Die has also recently been confirmed for the 2009 Maryland Deathfest to be held in May in Baltimore, MD. For more information, including complete festival line-up, please visit SupremeBrutality.com."
In the meantime the band posted the following update they're entering the studio, on their MySpace:
"With the pre-production all wrapped up, we have moved operations to Grindstone Studios (UK) with producer Scott Atkins to start tracking the new album entitled "No Tolerance For Imperfection". Scott's a really cool guy and an excellent producer, pushing us hard to get the best takes, and the drum sound is mighty already.
Matt has started tracking drums and it's going excellent - some of the drumming on this album is unbelievable! Matt is posting updates on his progress, so stay tuned here for studio updates as close to daily as we can manage. This new material is sounding awesome, we cant wait to get it out there and let you guys here it!"

Illdisposed - News Update
Illdisposed have issued the following update on their MySpace:
"We are in the middle of the songwriting process for our 11th album. We will begin recording the yet untitled album this winter/early spring.
We have left the label AFM records. The decision was ours alone, since AFM wanted to continue working with us.. Thank you.. But no... We are negotiating with several labels as of now, but think we have found the one that We will ink with. A few more details needs to be settled - and we're good to go, so more on that soon.
In the past 17 years people would either have to see us live or go to a third party dealership in order to obtain Illdisposed merchandise. This has finally changed now, as we have opened our first official shop. So go to this location for all your t-shirt, cd and what not needs.
We will hopefully see you on the road next year, which starts off with concerts in Germany, Denmark, Greece and Italy."
