It seems like they were having issues behind the scenes and now long-time vocalist Fabio Lione just announced that he quit the band. Why? Finnish funeral doom pioneers Shape Of Despair have unveiled details behind the release of the band's previously unreleased first demo Alone In The Mist. The demo was originally written and recorded in 1998 while the band was still known as Raven, and sees the legendary band's original take on the genre they would later innovate and popularize with their discography. Up-and-coming Swedish heavy metallers Lancer have signed a contract with German metal giants in Nuclear Blast. The first results of this fruitful union can be reaped very soon. After working on their third record, Mastery has been finished, and the ten-track opus is set for a January 13th, 2017 release. Once again, the cover artwork was created by Dimitar Nikolov (Ross The Boss, Majesty). The final layout was done by Marcelo Vasco (Slayer, Machine Head). Check it out.
