Twinspirits - Replace Singer

Italian progressive metal band Twinspirits have posted the following update:

"After a fruitful collaboration started in 2006 and the release of the first full-lenght album "The Music That Will Heal The World" (Lion Music), Twinspirits part ways with the Danish singer Søren Adamsen (Crystal Eyes, Artillery). The band recruited the great Swedish talent of Göran Nyström to complete the new lineup.

The recording sessions for Twinspirits new album are currently in progress and the record will be probably released in the first semester of 2009. The band already played a couple of gigs during summer festivals in Italy, with the new lineup. Some video footage about it can be viewed on YouTube."

Tad Morose - New Line Up Announced

Tad Morose have issued the following update:

"Hi there everybody! We are proud to announce the new line up! After a few years with various problems it feels great that we now are a working band again! Things just didn't work out the way we wanted with Joe Comeau, he is an excellent singer and a very nice guy, but it just didn't work out for us in the long run. We only did 3 shows and recorded a 2 track demo with him. We wish him all the best!

The new singer is Ronny Hemlin (Steel Attack), Ronny is a very, very good singer and fits perfect! Check out his work with Steel Attack and you will know what I mean.

The new bassplayer is Tommi Karpanen (ex-Morgana Lefay), a long time friend who also play bass in Sefer Jezirah and guitar in God Aweful Machine.

We are busy getting that album together and also rehearsing some old songs because we want to play live! So it might be that we will do some shows even that we don't have a new album out."

Municipal Waste - Classic Lineup To Reunite For One Show

Earache Records press release:

"In the "Waste 'Em All" years, Municipal Waste developed a reputation that they are still living up to today. It was due to the early, insane live performances that set the bar for what people expect to see at a Waste show. Wind swept circle pits, 69 stage dives, wacky costumes, and pizza shark boogie bongs still show up whether the band plans it or not. Maybe it was just the off stage antics, excessive drinking, or the tendency to eat all the food out of an unsuspecting victim's fridge that sent the message that was (and still is) very clear: Municipal Waste is gonna fuck you up!

Now you can't rewrite history, but you can relive it on Friday, August 15th 2008 at Alley Katz in Richmond, VA. The Waste will be reuniting the "Waste 'Em All" lineup for one show as part of the 7th annual Best Friends Day Weekend. The lineup, which includes Brandon Ferrell on drums, Andy Harris on bass, Tony Foresta on vocals, and Ryan Waste on guitar, will be playing the "Waste 'Em All" album in it's entirety along with some other classic cuts.

This show is a must see for any true fan of live music! The other acts of the night include: Paint it Black, Quadiliacha, Caustic Christ, Brutal Knights, and Religious As Fuck. The show starts at 7pm @ Alley Katz (10 Walnut Alley) and costs $10."

After Death - Playing European Tour As Nocturnus

According to a press release from Arcane Promotions, Nocturnus will be touring their legendary "The Key" album later this year with their classic line-up from that period. Support will come from Violated (SWE), Punish (CH), Memorial (DK) and Slither (SWE)

So far the following dates have been announced:

Oct. 14 - Copenhagen, DEN - The Rock
Oct. 15 - Hamburg, GER - Hafenklang
Oct. 16 - Hengelo, NED - Metropol
Oct. 17 - Rotterdam, NED - Baroeg
Oct. 18 - London, GBR - Electrowerkz
Oct. 19 - Birmingham, GBR - The Asylum
Oct. 20 - TBA
Oct. 21 - TBA
Oct. 22 - Pratteln, SUI - Z7
Oct. 23 - Wien, AUT - Viper Room
Oct. 24 - Milano, ITA - Zoe Club
Oct. 25 - Giebelstadt, GER - Bringer Of Death Fest XVI
Oct. 26 - Berlin, GER - K17

A flyer of the event can be found here

In the meantime, Mike Browning (Former Morbid Angel and Nocturnus drummer/vocalist) has issued a statement regarding what is being billed as a reunion of the "classic lineup" of Nocturnus, set to take place in Europe this fall. In a post to to the comments section of Blabbermouth, Browning writes, "I want to be totally up front and honest with everyone that the original lineup will not be touring. My band After Death will be doing the tour as Nocturnus, we WILL be playing at least 7 of the 10 songs on 'The Key" as well as a couple of old Morbid Angel songs done the way they were originally written on "Abominations of Desolation"! Mike Davis was asked and he didn't want to do the tour as he and I were the ones who wrote pretty much everything on 'The Key'. Lou and Sean were not asked to do this. What people will see will be a show that no one else can faithfully perform containing old Nocturnus and Morbid Angel material that I either wrote or co-wrote. And it will be done the way it was meant to be written and performed, not some contrived 'rock star' version! The tour will be from October 13-27, 13 shows only to be done in Europe because of these U.S. trademark restrictions from the former members who did indeed steal the name and band I created back in 1988."

Wastefall - The End Of Wastefall

Wastefall have announced its decision to disband. Here's the official statement:

"The band's situation has not been really good the past few months, since Alexander was studying in Crete (island of Greece) far away from Athens. We did renew our contract with Intromental Management this year and after this we would have had the opportunity to play at ProgPower Scandinavia in October 2008. Our drummer Kostis passed the examinations and he will have to leave Greece this summer for a few years, since he will study in a musical university in England, so we found a professional session drummer to help us for this live show. Also Domenik has moved to Germany since 2007 and although he was doing all he could, it was not easy for us to handle our obligations. The band was spread out and it was difficult for all of us to organize our priorities in any way required. We were also in a very difficult economic situation and it was then that Alexander decided to leave Wastefall.

A few words from guitarist Alex: "Due to various complicated reasons and my personal choice to follow my academic studies, I can no longer be a Wastefall member. I want to thank all my band-mates, fans, Claus and Lars from Intromental, Ken at Sensory and Olivier at Replica for all the great times. Concerning music, all I have to say is that I'm going to continue writing music, in a very different style though, and not with the perspective of releasing something soon. It was a great journey I will always remember. I hope that other bands will be influenced by our passion so far and mark their way in the "rotten" music business. Dom, Chris, Nick, Kostis :Love, respect, good luck and apologies. C ya out there."

The beginning and vision of Wastefall was an idea of Alexander and Domenik and since Alexander wasn't available anymore the band's "core" was broken. After this, nothing will be the same so we got the difficult decision and we are really sad to announce the end of Wastefall. At first we would like to say a big thank and a lot of apologies to Hercules Loukakis for his time, honesty and will to help us out with the "ProgPower live show". We would like to thank our former members, Ken Golden from our record label Sensory and Olivier Garnier from our french record label/promotion Replica, Claus Jensen and Lars Larsen from our Official Management, George Karamanos, Nikos Sigklidis and Vicky Michalitsi (Si-lia) for being our personal local management/advertisers, all our friends, our families for supporting us, local and international magazines, webzines, forums, and finally our FANS in all over the world and all those who did believe in Wastefall's dream and supported us all these years.

Megadeth - Recording New Album In Autumn

Megadeth's webmaster has issued the following update after a call to Dave Mustaine:

"So... I was talking to my beloved master tonight on the phone and he wanted me to let you all know that things are moving along oh so well with the brand new studio! The project is in its initial phases... large warehouse type deal... slowly converting into part deluxe recording studio... pre production... start recording new album in Fall!
Dave is quite psyched about this studio and getting the band in, and everyone else involved to lay down some tracks and put out the next stellar Megadeth album! Ahh yes, life is good."

Antigama - Part Ways With Singer, Announce Replacement

Antigama have issued the following update:

"After eight years of grinding Lukasz "Lucas" Myszkowski has left the band. Due to his job, personal issues and other things he decided to quit. We wish Lucas only the best and fully respect his decision. Look out for his new musical projects in near future. Luckily the new throat has already been found and the guy seems to be the right person in the right place. His name is Patryk Zwolinski, the man known for using his tremendous vocal abilities in Blindead. We are even more stoked to have such a great artist in our line-up. Additionally, Antigama's recent bass player Mike has been temporarily replaced by a nice Spanish guy called Jose. The new steady bassist will be announced soon.

More good news is that the band have completed the music for their 5th full length release. The follow-up of "Resonance" and the second album for Relapse Records will be recorded this September, again with producer Szymon Czech. Tentative release date is Spring 2009."

"Good news, within a year after the first reunion show at the Party San festival Asphyx already has written 8 new songs, maybe 1 song more to go. The tracks include all typical Asphyx elements. Next week we'll record some kind of instrumental pre-production/demo for ourselves. We expect the unexpected release of a new album in 2009 at Century Media records! According to drummer and founding member Bob this new album could be one of the best Asphyx ever has released. So prepare for the new upcoming Brutality!!!!"

Solefald - Planning Eight-LP Vinyl Box Set

Solefald have posted the following update at their official MySpace:

"Solefald are planning the release of an eight-LP vinyl box including our entire discography and a book about the band's history. This object - if we do it - will probably be the most exclusive item in your collection - and maybe also the most expensive. The price would lie somewhere between 60 and 80 euros including freight, depending on the actual pressing cost - we will press 100 to maximum 300 signed and numbered copies. We need to know if anybody out there is interested? Raise your hands and say ah! Both Laz and me are dying for this project to see the light of day, but, unfortunately, we cannot do it all alone!"

Amoral - Parts Ways With Singer

Finnish metallers Amoral have issued the following update:

"We are sad to inform you that Niko is leaving Amoral. A while ago he sat us down and told us that he's having serious motivation problems and feels like it's time to do other things. We were in shock, as none of us saw this coming. We were sure Niko was enjoying the ride just as much as we were. We tried reasoning with him, even offering him a year-long break to do whatever else he feels like he needs to do, but quickly realized he had already made his mind.

Of course we were devastated at first. Niko was just as crucial part of the band as the rest of us, and also our frontman, the voice of the band. Was this the end of Amoral? The rest of us discussed this and were happy to see that we all felt that there's no way we're stopping now. We've worked too hard to get where we are, and we enjoy playing together, so why would we give it all up? We decided to look at the bright side of the situation: this would be our chance to pursue in a more melodic direction, something we've wanted for a long time but weren't able to do with Niko. This shouldn't come as a surprise for you who've been following our doings. The "rock n' roll vibe" has been present in our live shows and songs since our second album Decrowning, and especially on the last album Reptile Ride, which had some melodic vocals and a lot of stuff not suitable under the "technical death metal" -tag we've had on us…

We'll leave it to Niko to explain his decision more specifically. Niko, good luck with whatever it is you decide to do in the future. It was a pleasure having you in the band, and you'll always be "one of us", just like your Amoral tattoo suggests.

Niko's last gig with us will be at the "Thrashia Läpi Yön" - festival at Tammela, Finland on August 23rd. After this we'll take a long break from gigs, and start writing the 4th Amoral album. We already have a lot of material to work on, even a couple of songs 99% ready, and we're hyped about how these sound! No release dates or any kind of deadlines have been decided on, as we wanna get this just right."
