Download Festival 2018 - Confirm Cradle Of Filth, Jonathan Davis, TesseracT And More

It seems like Cradle Of Filth never sleeps as the band is currently touring in Europe and has already announced an Australia tour as well. Now, it has been confirmed that they will also perform at home, at the Download Festival in June this year. The festival announced 65 new bands including Volbeat, Jonathan Davis (Korn) making his first Download appearance as a solo artist, DragonForce, Thy Art Is Murder, TesseracT and many more.

Crematory - New Album Detailed

Skálmöld - Confirm Shows In Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania And Estonia

Far away from their home, Skálmöld will perform at the Winter Days Of Metal 2018 festival in Bohinj, Slovenia soon, playing on the same day as Arkona. The band has also announced new shows in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia this May in support of Vögguvísur Yggdrasils. Goresoerd and Stam1na will join them.

Picture - Announce New Shows

Dutch long running metallers Picture have announced a few upcoming performances. They will play at the Metal Assault 2018 in Würzburg, Germany on February the 17th as well as the Tattoofest in Nijverdal, The Netherlands on March 10th, 2018. Picture will celebrate the 40th anniversary of their classic album Heavy Metal Ears in its classic lineup at Metal Assault.

Destruction - Drummer Leaving The Band

Sodom is not the only Teutonic thrash metal act which has parted ways with musicians lately. This time, German long running aggressor thrashers Destruction have announced the imminent departure of drummer Wawrzyniec "Vaaver" Dramowicz due to "family reasons". He will perform with the band until March and then Randy Black will step in after that until a new drummer is introduced.

Portuguese metallers Midnight Priest are working on a new album. No title, date or any other information is known so far, but the band has shared a new demo song called "Sin For Satan" online. So far, the heavy metallers have released two full length albums, Midnight Priest 2011 with Portuguese lyrics and Midnight Steel in 2014 with English lyrics.

Some news from Norway today in the Borknagar camp. Long running guitarist Jens F. Ryland has parted ways with the band and no explanation was given for his departure. The good news is that the band is working on a new album, which they promise to release either in late 2018 or early 2019 to follow Winter Thrice.
