Howls Of Winter IV - First Bands Announced

Black metal is raging into the Baltic region and bringing chaos and destruction in last weeks of winter. The Estonian capital city of Tallinn will hold the Howls Of Winter IV festival. For now, we know that the warm-up bands will be Urfaust, Thou Shell Of Death and Au-Dessus. Other bands confirmed are: Horna, Hetroertzen, Protean, Kalmankantaja, Todestriebe, Tarm, Pestilentia, Ic Rex and Sorts.

Paul Chain - Bassist Riccardo Lampani Dies

Italian punk band Garçon Fatal just posted via Facebook that Italian bassist Riccardo Lampani aka Baka Bomb has recently passed away. He was part of Italian legends of horror and doom metal Paul Chain, and he also played in Witchfield, Cane Mangia Cane and Boohoos.

Wacken Open Air - Festival Site Undergoes Major Excavation

It is known as the "Holy Wacken Land," but during this autumn, the infield in Wacken, Germany, where the world's biggest heavy metal festival takes place, looked like a lunar landscape first and then a desert. Large infrastructure measures for drainage and securing the area required special treatment.

Judas Priest - Update On New Album, Start Recording In January

Dissident aggressors Judas Priest are working on a new album to follow Redeemer Of Souls (2014) and guitarist Richie Faulkner was recently interviewed by Sweetwater editorial director Mitch Gallagher during "Making Hard Rock Look Easy", a three-day recording master class which was held October 20-22 at Sweetwater's campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The band has been in the studio working on new songs but the actual recording will begin in January. The album is expected in 2017.

Chris Holmes - Reality Show Trailer Online

Former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes, now the mastermind behind Mean Man, has uploaded video footage of his upcoming reality show Holmes Sweet Holmes. Chris and his wife/manager Cathy-Sarah Holmes are starring in a new reality-show project. Twenty episodes have reportedly been filmed, with the first episode set to be released in the coming weeks. The Damned - New Album Coming, New Tour Dates

Punk pioneers The Damned will launch a full-scale North American tour next year in April 6th in Los Angeles, with dates running until May 21st. Prior to the trek, the quintet will begin sessions for a new album, their first since 2008's So, Who's Paranoid, this winter, and are planning a release date next year.

Atrophy - Working On New Music

American thrash smashers Atrophy just posted some important news. The band was formed back in 1986 under the Heresy name but in 1987 changed it to the current one. They broke up in 1991, but in 2015 came back from the dead and added two guitarists to the team, Casper Garret and Rich Olsen. Three original members, vocalist Brian Zimmerman, bassist James Gulotta and drummer Tim Kelly, are still part of the unit. Now, they are creating new music!
