Dream Theater announced that on January 30th, 2021 they will put out Images, Words & Beyond Live In Japan 2017 live album. A show recorded in Tokyo, Japan back in 2017, and features a live performance of the entire classic album Images & Words. This live recording had never been shown before. Don't miss this presentation, in full HD, initially broadcast only for Japanese audiences, and now for the first time available to audiences worldwide. Dream Theater had also released another live album, entitled Distant Memories - Live In London, last month.

Prog metal fans rejoice, as the reunion of Liquid Tension Experiment has been heavily implied, with every band member posting a picture of themselves with a mask that has a letter on it. L for Tony Levin, T for Mike Portnoy, E for Jordan Rudess, and the number 3 for John Petrucci. There's no official statement yet but it's fair to assume that the letters might stand for 'Liquid Tension Experiment 3'. More to follow.

With the current Covid-19 crisis, most live shows are cancelled. To help support all of their crews and technicians who couldn't work all year, Dream Theater decided to release a medley of different Christmas songs called "The Holiday Spirit Carries On" (short clip here). You can now buy it on their Bandcamp and it will be available only through the month of December. All proceeds will go toward these dedicated people who work tirelessly to make Dream Theater concerts possible.
