Sounds way better than Belus!

This sounds bore like Belus...
But than again lets wait for march to see what is it really like....

Overall, it gives a very Belus feeling. Hoping for an improuvement, drums sound better, vocals more diverse but guitars are exactely the same draggy riffing style.

I agree, it makes me wounder, how would Burzum sounds nowdays if Varg wont be at jail for 20 years and continue play muisc all the time

I like the samples...but one cannot tell honestly about whole album just from them

This would be good if released like 10 years ago, I guess... Now it's just not original (anymore) and... well... old. Nothing wrong with that, but it's like I just found out about a Black Metal band from the 90's that I never heard of before...

I don't know... Just didn't make me interested in it :/

Never been a fan of this kind of blackmetal..

Man, I can't wait! I like the new sound of the drums (26" bassdrum), way more experimental. This album will be even less black metal then Belus was, which I think is more Burzum.

Actually it's made by renowned 19th century painter William Adolphe Bouguereau, who is infinitely more talented than you'll ever be.

I don't know about you guys, but I like the cover. It's different.

Amazing cover art (or rather painting), looks like it could belong on an Alcest record. And pink on a black metal record? How very metrosexual of you Varg.

Music sounds ok, nothing new but it should please fans.

Fantastic. Love the sound, the opening few seconds won me over. But lets be honest, I was going to buy it anyway. I didn't need to listen to the samples, Belus was great.

I'd much rather wait 3-4 years between releases.

He's rushing to make up for lost ground and you can tell.

Guitar is way too high pitched for my musical taste, the only sample that I found slightly interesting was the very last one.

This one sounds much better actually....more experimental especially Til Hel Og Tilbake Igien...Cover art is a wise choice and fits the idea of the album perfectly...I think Varg is about to unleash a beast.

Very excited to hear the whole album; such a strange cover too. All in all it really awakens my curiosity.

Honestly, these samples don't really sound that promising to me... Then again, I'm a negative Nancy, and I'll probably need to hear the whole thing to decide.
And the cover art is a total fail, IMO. Not that I don't like some bewbs, mind you, but it hardly seems fitting for a Burzum record.

Read Thryce's comment regarding the artist and the painting's background. It is perhaps one of the most fitting covers in Burzum's repertoire.

For Burzum, 2 weeks to record/mix a whole album is no surprise.

An interesting taster/teaser, and it seems promising! Some of those little clips sound rather a lot like the Belus material. But of course we can't make a full judgement based on short snippets.. particularly with something like Burzum, where you really need to listen to each song in its entireity to get the full effect, as it's about creating a certain atmosphere and everything which can't realistically be conveyed in 30 second bits.

As for the cover art, I like it. Remember the cover to 'Filosofem', that was kind of unusual but people would wear T-shirts and longsleeves of it, despite it not being typical Metal imagery!

Exactly and now that you mention it... The woman in Filosofem is far from being naked so I don't understand why some guys are pissed off with the cover art here
