Decapitated - Survive An Emergency Landing, Cancel Upcoming Festival Shows
On Tuesday, November 1st, a plane going from New York to Warsaw, Poland, had to make an emergency landing after a technical malfunction prevented the plane from lowering it's wheels. Miraculously, the plane made it down just fine and there were no casualties. Polish death metallers Decapitated were on the plane. Due to that fact, the band decided to cancel their upcoming shows in Aalborg and Leeds.
Here it is the official statement from the band: "We are extremely sorry to inform our fans, that due to unforeseen circumstances that are out of our control, we will unfortunately have to cancel our shows in Aalborg (Aalborg Metal Festival) and Leeds (Damnation Festival)."

It wasn't exactly a crash though. It just landed without wheels  But I didn't know Decapitated were on that plane! These guys are unlucky.

I don't think the general public gives a crap whether or not members of a death metal band is on board. Me, I was really surprised, 'cause I read about the emergency landing in the newspapers. Anyhow, luckily enough no one got injured. And kudos to the pilot!

Wow, something else has happened to Decapitated which played with them, or so to speak. I'm glad that there were no casualties on the plane, and that the band and everyone else are all right. Written by flamey on 04.11.2011 at 11:55 From a different perspective, these guys are actually pretty lucky to have survived the plane mishap, and to even be together after the sad accident around exactly four years ago. Therefore, whether the band is "lucky" or "unlucky" would depend on the perspective.
