Kiss - Complete Work On New Album

Paul Stanley, guitarist/vocalist of American legendary hard-rockers KISS has posted an update on the band's official website about the new album: "Friday we officially completed work on the new album. Listening to the tracks back to back is like sensory overload. Everyone who has heard any of it is completely blown away. Powerful, heavy, melodic and epic. It makes us very proud. You all will be too. Mixing starts next week."

Their new album Monster is set to be released sometime this year.

Absolutely true, but especially in the case of Kiss where it was always abot the Live show and not the music on the albums.

They did make some good music, so I wouldn't entirely go along with that. I also think it's good for a band to keep making new albums and trying to be creative, rather than just taking the easy route of making easy money through just performing live. I do agree that Creatures... was the last good album they did, although "Revenge" had some decent stuff musically on there.

I disagree. Sonic boom was a good album. Not their best but a good hard rock album with an amazing production. I think this album will be good too.

I can't believe that this band still exists. They should retire and stick to selling kaskets.

Though I agree that bands should keep trying to make music, I wouldn't exactly call live performances the "easy money route", especially with what Kiss put into their shows.

I honestly can't remember a single thing from that album, there's just nothing on it that grabbed me at all. Sure, it wasn't terrible on the whole, but comparing it with say "Destroyer", then it was a very weak album indeed. Hopefully this latest one will be a bit better.

They do put a lot into their live shows I agree, but I still think a band like them are in a position now where they could choose not to make any more new music ever again, and just keep doing "hits tours", and they'd always make good money from that. So it is still an easier route than writing new material. Any functioning band should never cease trying to be creative I feel.

Self praising, no modesty whatsoever... Their last 2 albums were rather weak, I am doubtful about this new effort.
