Metal veterans Melvins are set to release their newest studio album Tres Cabrones, on November 5th via Ipecac Records. Tres Cabrones is the nineteenth studio album by them, and it features their original drummer Mike Dillard, with current drummer Dale Crover playing bass. It is the first official album to feature Mike Dillard, as his only previous appearance before the recordings of this album were on Mangled Demos From 1983 and a handful of compilation and bootleg releases. Roger "Buzz" Osborne said of the album: "Tres Cabrones is as close as we're willing to get to the Melvins 1983 line-up. The best part is it's all new songs. I specifically wrote tunes that would be good for these guys to play and it worked out great. We had no interest in rehashing tunes we wrote 30 years ago and chose instead to simply create NEW songs. It worked out perfectly."
