Epica - First New Album Details Announced
Dutch symphonic metallers Epica have finally unveiled what the "TQE" stands for in their new album title. The first details have been revealed and we know now that their 6th studio album is called The Quantum Enigma. Furthermore, the exact release dates will be: May 2nd in Europe, May 5th in the UK and May 13th in the USA via Nuclear Blast Records.

I went for The Quiet Eternity.  but I like the name The Quantum Enigma ... the new Mayan album wasn't half-bad but I wasn't blown away either , I hope the Epica album is better. judging by 2013 we definitely need better albums in the genre.

I thought it stood for "The Queer Engineer"... guess I was wrong... Still, I like the name, hope its nothing like last album, it was horrible.

It's about quantum theory, which I wouldn't call pseudo-intellectual at all, although their approach may or may not be the most "sophisticated" per se so it's hard to say how this will be perceived. Not every band can release a Scream Bloody Gore.
