Draconian - Debut New Song

As it has already been reported, Swedes Draconian will be releasing their sixth full-length studio album Sovran on October 30th via Napalm Records. Today, the band presents a brand new track, "Stellar Tombs", as a fine representation of what the new line-up is capable of. Do not hesitate and listen to the 6-minute long track over here.

More details about Sovran can be found a this location.

Vocalist Anders Jacobsson comments: "This track is like a storm, a storm of a life trying to re-connect to its' soul, to its' place in the Cosmos. To me it's like a cognition through this constricted, three-dimensional world and the expanded reality beyond. At the time I wrote this it was like an almost grotesque cocktail of fear and identity leading to inner depletion, but would mutate into the realization of its illusion, to a sense of peace and acceptance. "Stellar Tombs" is a 'spicy' song, somewhat intense and brooding, and like many other Draconian songs the main empathy rests on a transitional phase; becoming who You are. I'd say it's one of the more monolithic songs of the new album."

Heike's voice is so freaking beautiful!
Cold, poised, emotional, and beautiful.

The vocals are good. The opening riff made me cringe for a few seconds :/

A bit disappointed with the overall instrumentation. no memorable riffs. and i expected some violins/keyboards/cello as well. Overall, lyrics and vocals sound good, but the song lacks creativity. I hope the rest of the album covers up for that.

I'd say it sounds pretty like anything from their last album. Heike's voice is nice, fits this band well, so I guess Lisa won't be really missed.

Anyway, good song, nothing special, expecting full record to be better.

I really like the female vocals, but a typical Draconian song.

Okay, the song isn't bad, but when I hear music, I want to hear something that I feel is better and beyond what the average musician can write. And everything about this song, from the melodies to the riffs, sound like something that your average musician could write.
