Soulfly - To Play Entire Nailbomb's Point Blank Album On Tour
Max Cavalera has posted a video on Soulfly's official Facebook page that will bring delight to the fans of Nailbomb. "Fuck yeah, Nailbomb, Point Blank? one of my favorite records of all time... I'll be playing the whole album for you guys..." Max says in a video message announcing a tour with his Soulfly bandmates, in which they are going to play the entire Point Blank album. However, no cities and dates are revealed in the video, which you can watch here.
Nailbomb is the industrial/thrash band formed back in 1994 by Max Cavalera and Alex Newport from Fudge Tunnel. The duo created Point Blank, for which they were joined in the studio by Max's fellow Sepultura members at the time, Andreas Kisser and Igor Cavalera, as well as Dino Cazares from Fear Factory. The album was a product full of hate and punk aggression, that stood musically in the middle of the sounds that Sepultura and Fudge Tunnel were making at the time. The war-time photo of a Vietcong woman with a gun to her head on the cover only added to the angry message the record meant to convey. Unfortunately, Nailbomb did not record anything else, but now Soulfly gives us the opportunity to hear the whole Point Blank live, more than two decades after its release.
