Samael - New Lyric Video Revealed

Swiss industrial black metallers Samael will release their long-awaited album, Hegemony, on October 13th via Napalm Records. The band has already premiered the song "Angel Of Wrath" and now the official lyric video for the track "Red Planet" can be seen below. How do you like it?

Here is how Napalm Records promotes Hegemony: "Hardhats required! With Samael heavy ordnances wallow to darkest fronts. Industrial Black Metal armed with a wind section passes shivery synthesizers. The stomping bass loses its sense of deceny. No grain of dust stays in bed. 30 years of band history flows into their brilliant eleventh record Hegemony. It combines everything that Samael have learnt in decades the hard way. On point and frightening brutal. Fiery whirlwinds of hypnotic hammering riff forces as well as gruesome-lovely gurgling drives you over the edge."

Hegemony tracklist:

01. Hegemony
02. Samael
03. Angel Of Wrath
04. Rite Of Renewal
05. Red Planet
06. Black Supremacy
07. Murder Or Suicide
08. This World
09. Against All Enemies
10. Land Of The Living
11. Dictate Of Transparency
12. Helter Skelter
13. Storm Of Fire (bonus track)

Samael seems to be walking in their safe-zone. Sounds great, but nothing new here. Same old mid-tempo songs they've made hundreds of.
I was hoping for something faster, mind-blowing, daring... but no, they're sticking to their 8-7 point-album rating.

God Alone
I love Samael and always will; they're one of the very first bands that introduced me to metal ten years ago, I was a 16 year old kiddo and had no idea what metal was about. Ceremony of Opposites, Passage, Worship Him and to some extent even Reign of Light were kind of a revolution for me. I owe them so much! Still, I can't help having very mixed feelings since Solar Soul. And if the rest of this new album is really going to sound like the singles released so far, I would be "surprised": did they really take six effin years to make this autopilot stuff again? I hope I'll be proven wrong.

Well, this seems to be so different but with more power and genius, every second in this song is a killing machine.

the lyric is magnificent, and as usual, guitars are so catchy.

keep it up SAMAEL
