Yomi - Guitarist Quits
Latvian folk metallers Yomi just announced that guitarist Isaz has left after being in the band for three years. They are currently looking for a replacement for him.
The band says: "Hey there, people. There haven't been any posts from us for some time, and for a good reason - unfortunately, we have parted our ways with Isaz, our guitarist. He has been an integral part of the band from the very beginning, and we've gotta say - these 3 years we have been playing together were a total blast. He is one of those people who undoubtedly made Yomi what it is today and without him we would not be the way we are. We thank him for his dedication and all the contributions, and hope to maybe see him again some day in surprise stage appearances. Naturally, we are now looking for a new guitarist, so if you would like to join our cause - feel free to message the band on FB, contact Artiom Kuricin directly or write us at metalyomi@gmail.com.
And for the final chord, let us hear from the man himself: "First of all I would like to thank the guys in Yomi for an absolutely amazing time spent together both on and off the stage. It was an absolute pleasure to work together for a past few years, but due to changes of priorities and growing differences music-wise I decided to quit the band and move on with different things in life. I also want to personally thank each one of you that went to our shows, bought the CDs and had a beer or two with us at the bars. There is no bad blood between us and this by no means is the end of Yomi, those guys got a shitload of new stuff for you and as soon as they will find a replacement I hope to meet you once again in the audience at the shows.
"P.S. If you're a local guy that knows what to do with a guitar and think that you've got what it takes to play Japanese folk metal tunes - give them a message asap. Stay metal! \m/"
