German power metal quartet Blind Guardian have released two new versions of the song "Ashes To Ashes", both taken from the upcoming album Somewhere Far Beyond - Revisited. "Ashes To Ashes" is the second single from the album, following June's release of the new version of "The Quest For Tanelorn". The first version of the single is the new studio recording known as "Ashes To Ashes (Revisited)", linked in the first video below. The second version is a live performance from the 2022 edition of Hellfest, at which Blind Guardian performed Somewhere Far Beyond in its entirety; this version can be found in the second video below.

The Revisited album is a full re-recording of the band's seminal 1992 album Somewhere Far Beyond; the limited-edition three-disc digipak release will be packaged with a 2022 live performance of the full album and a Blu-ray of anniversary performances from Rock Hard Festival and Hellfest. The basic tracks for each song were recorded live in the studio, with the band's trademark bevy of choruses and overdubs added later.
