I would to know your opinnion about latin american bands ... and all the metal scene in South and Central America ... I know that's such smaller in comparison with European or American metal scene ... but we have here really good bands like

Renacer (Argentina), Rata Blanca (Argentina), V8 (Argentina), Weichafe (Chile), Six Magics (Chile), Brujeria (Mexico)... I don't know .. what do you know in the rest of the world ?? ... seeing that in the data base of MS you can't find too much.

A few good bands coming from there, I like Aquaria and Hibria - great power metal!

There is a lot of Brazilian bands. Angra, Shaman, Andre Matos, Sepultura and others.

Violator, Especimen, Pigsty, Angra, Sepultura..exc..Latin American bands have had a huge influence on metal!

Natas is a great stoner metal band from Argentina...their album Delmar is an great listen for anyone who likes Kyuss...as for progressive metal, Stormental is a great pick...their self-titled album is well recommended by me

Brazil excels with some names....Sepultura and Angra for instance....

People comment about many bands from Brazil, but I ve never seen someone commenting about Torture Squad, maybe the biggest extrem metal band of the country nowadays, at least in Brazil...
They are very known, not in Europe or another countries, but maybe they grow a little bit now...they won the Wacken metal battle in 2007...

Maybe because there are about 2000 bands and thosewhat I mentioned are ,more beter how that band

Mar de Grise, Poemma Arcanus, doom from Chile, Ares Wrath Division and Canis Lupus, black from Brazil. Not to mention Sepultura. Thats what I know for Latin scene.

What about Serpentor? They're the best Thrash Metal band here in Argentina! Try to find some stuff from them!

I suppose I can say I envy those people that live in europe due to the exeeding amount of metal over tyere, its wonderfully overwhelming. However, I think it was beacuse of this separatisim and distance that actually made some great sounding bands from the western hemesphere very recognized. Like Brujeria from mexico, and Sepultura and Angra from those South American areas.

For me, the problem is that i don't like how it sounds metal in spanish or portuguese. It sounds stupid, don't ask me why, cuz i don't know for sure. So i really don't know the metal scene here in latin america. Oviously i know sepultura, angra, brujeria and rata blanca, but i only like angra.

Yeah, Kranium which sings in Spanish, doesn't sound good at all... Pop sounds better than metal in Spanish, I don't know why...

Maybe it is because spanish and portuguese are not beautiful languages...english or nordic languages are better to express the feelings u feel when u listen to Metal. I have the same feeling when I watch some movies, epic movies must be in english, it combines much more

From Costa Rica...

Have heard Angra, Sepultura and Brujeria. Based on those 3 bands im not a big fan of music from this are of the world.

Almosut ewery posts proove that ppl dont know nothin about latin america metalm, Sepultura, Angra, Brujeria
pll dont know how wounderfull can be Chilian doom and brazilain dark/gothic and doom , ppl look at those bands what i mentioned, and you will discovere one more time America

Even living here ... I hadn't ever heard Doom Metal local scene, now I've listened some songs of Poema Arcanus, Mar de Grises and other bands... and it's quite good quality music ...

Sarcofago, Sextrash and some other similar death/black thrash bands are rather good, but i never dug deeper in the south american metal scene. i haven't heard a decent black metal band from there. and there are like 6 million of them. shame.

Man you need more how 20 live sto hear all those band sbetter pic up 1, 44 , 990, 13098 and 5th million and last one, all be same , those who isnt same we already know

Toxodeth (Mexico) - One of the better death/thrash bands out there, in the world. They have a nice style of going from pure thrash to (almost) pure death metal, with some Mexican style acoustic passages and even some classical influences, all very technically played. Some songs have more twists and turns than anything (the Almighty) Coroner could ever come up with.
