@Icarus: because im communist and here in Mexico, the music about revolution and communism are something called ska, cumbia, trova. And its good music but I like metal, and it would be great if there were some metal bands with this lyrics. I feel that metal is great music but sometimes it lacks of good lyrics, political lyrics, lyrics with theoretical bases. So thats why I'm searching for that.

Mmm, left-wing politics do not have lots of space in metal (well, politics in general). I'll look for something.

A quick MA search turns up these, aside from the ones already mentioned. Why on EARTH would you want to listen to communist metal?? lol Out of all lyrical themes at your disposal you want to listen to something as oppressive and terrible and inhumane as that? *shakes head*

Sorry dude but i recommend you to read the communism tread. I dont mind if you agree or not with communism but you need to know more before say that kind of things without arguments.

Written by BitterCOld on 27.01.2009 at 07:51 Most modern communists I've met view those nations as being huge, capital failures that didn't really live up to the ideology the way they were meant to. Especially Soviet and China. I myself have had some interactions with the Swedish communist party, and while they're very small and practically powerless in today's society, the fact that people won't vote for them doesn't necissarily mean they're inhumane. In fact, based on those I've met, I'd claim the complete opposite.

Lol!!! @BitterCOld: Im not saying that i want to find the communist manifesto in metal version , what I want to say is that communist lyrics can help to bring down the misconception of what is communism, like the post of Valaskjalf. @ForeverDarkWoods: please read the communism tread here in MS in serious discussions.

Written by BitterCOld on 27.01.2009 at 07:51 Goodwishes from People's Republic of China! We very capitalist! Yes we have communist party but it just be name : ) Seriously, China has never been truly communist and even after some devastating capital and social crashes the country is on a slow but stable road of growing a strong economy....It's economy crisis at the moment but the economy development hasn't ceased here....the growth is the slowest of all time, that is true....but the crisis hasn't struck like it has done to some other countries..... Eastern Europe and USSR....not to speak of the personal cult of Stalin (that Georgian dude who caused the deaths and sufferings of a great part of Russian nation....I ain't supporting that at all....) which was "socialism" as it was far from it....not to mention the crash of the 80ies....there actually was a period where the USSR was a completely habitable country.....an to be honest, these areas were always ruled by capitalists who were in disguise and promised some "equality" and prosperity which never came.... Cuba....well....my schoolmate is from Cuba....she has nothing bad to say about her home country....yes the life problems are there since the embargo and the cessation of help from other countries but generally the Cubans are merry and positive as lots of Latin Americans are....point made, an interviewer was shocked because there was a crucifix in Castro's room....yes...it is possible to be religious and socialist.... North Korea....that's true but that's not proper socialism nor communism....that's called Juche idea of self reliance which is manifested in the religion where Kim is a deity....Kim's family business is really awful and the hate propaganda used to brainwash the people is worse than in nazi Germany....In China everyone knows that the North Koreans hate everyone, especially Japan (because Japan occupied Korean kingdom), South Korea (because South Koreans don't wish to annihilate Japan as a revenge) and the US... Ontopic: I am not that interested in political themed metal.....politics is a nasty slippery road and tends to obtain bad taste fast....I prefer neutral topics....

I'm not going to be bothered with the serious discussions thread - i've intentionally steered clear of those here. it's a metal site for me. it doesn't matter how nice and swell any "ism" sounds on paper - it's what is put into practice that matters. That is reality. i'm sure the 50,000,00 to 100,000,000 dead and other living victims who suffered as a direct result of communism in the 20th Century must take great solace in knowing they were trampled not by "True" communism, but just posers... enjoy your communist metal and happy smurf village communist fantasies, though. whatever floats your boat.

Now, yes politics can be a nasty slippery road, but im just curious because here in Mexico, the music that contains political (in fact not always good)themed lyrics is called reggae and SKA,and i dont like it, but my friends listen to it all day, so im curious if there is some music with the same political lyrics but in a music genre that i like. here is an exaple of reggae http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zj7Z154sn_E

28.01.2009 - 01:14 Written by Uller on 27.01.2009 at 07:21 How exactly does Metal with communist lyrics can do that?, music can't supplant a book, and besides, metal isn't a popular genre here in Mexico, i'd be easier with communist reggaeton than with metal. Personally i see music as a form of entertainment, that's why i dont give a crap about the lyrical content.

And im not saying that communist lyrics can solve the misconception problem in a big way nor in a little way nor solve it at all. But it can clear things for some one. I didnt say that metal is popular here in Mexico, thats why im asking here in metalstorm, a worldwide web page about metal. And like a said before, im just curious if there is some metal band with this lyrical content. But also music can be a very powerful way to teach and inform people, or thats what i think.

You probably know them. If not, Kreator are close to be called communists. Basically they are against the system. They talk about politics, violence, wars, relligion. check the lyrics of their albums, you may find what you want. They are thrash metal.
